When they rap over "already existing" beats, they just don't leave it at that. They change the beat a little, the bass harder, etc...they put in work.Yeah, they still haven't released Vol. 2 Tha New Breed. The reason is that they are still looking for the right distributor 'cause this will be their first big release and they want the best out of the deal.

Crooked I needs to hook back up with Tha Pound, Soopafly, Daz, Nate Dogg, all of them muthaphukkaz on his shit. If Soopafly produced like he did on Dat Whoopty Whoop, it could be a westcoast Hip-Hop banger fo' Shizzy. Fuck Death Row, shit, Trey Deee left Snoop and still ain't fuckin' with Tha Row, they ain't got shit on the game. Or Crooked could get with Baby Reed, which would be hot, Crooked, Jayo, Shade Sheist, work with L.A. Confidental. But fuck Death Row, they been promise to put out Crooked, and I ain't seen shit but two average singles.
Crook should bounce with King Tech, like Tech handle him. Tech got hot production and a good sense for marketing. Not to mention, he'd let Crook actually spit some emcee shit. That way, we'd actually hear Crooked with cats like Sly Boogy, Planet Asia, Chino XL, Ras Kass and other CREDIBLE emcees. That's the best bet, we'd get the best music.

When DPG drops something, it's garbage. The last tight DPG product was Dillinger and Young Gotti. I think Icon needs to say fuck all these washed up gangsta acts and just make some straight up Hip Hop. He doesn't need to be busting over some lame ass played out G-Funk. He needs some hardcore Hip Hop beats. Something from King Tech, Muggs, Alchemist, DJ Khalil etc. Those are the style of beats that best fit him and his style.
How the hell do you know that crook best fits the production of king tech, Muggs, Alchemist, DJ Khalil?I am 99% sure I have heard every released crooked I song. Can't think of any of those producers that he has rapped over other than a wake up show freestyle by king tech. So basically there is not a shred of evidence that crook sounds good over their production.then we have the 19th st crook over LT Hutton G-Funk beats. Lame ass played out G-Funk? Sorry but Crooked I came tighter back then over g-funk beats then he does now or ever will again.IMO we have already heard the best we are ever going to hear. I would bet money on it if Crooked I ever releases an album he is gonna sell out and its gonna be crap.

"Murderin MCs," "Underground Tactics," "Anthem 7," the "Anthem" with Mos Def & Kurupt, the "Anthem" with Sly Boogy, Locksmith, Balance and F.A.B. As far as I know, if it wasn't King Tech on all of them, DJ Revolution did at least one or two of them. "Underground Tactics" "The Anthem" with Mos Def & Kurupt and "Anthem 7" we darker beats, which made Crooked's voice and flow stand out. Since, I FEEL he sounds better over dark production as opposed to Parliment or Zapp sampled beats, he'd sound good with Muggs, Alchemist and Khalil. That's how I know he'd sound good over that. And, I really don't think the 19th St. Crook is anywhere near the caliber of the Wake Up Show Crooked. 19th St. Crooked I was all flow, Wake Up Show Crooked I had an even better flow and amazing lyrics.Don't forget "You need to rap over some fatter samples/You're Roger Troutman'd out, setting a bad example"He don't want know lame ass G-Funk no more. That bullshit is dead. It's not 1993 no more.
Yeah its 2003, year of the sellouts. Production fucking sucks nowadays, it all sounds like gay ass shit, nothing is original. Do you really consider production nowadays better than 1993 production? IMO it is no where near ass good. There is no way I will ever agree that Wake up Show crook is better than 19th st crook. No one was fuckin with his flow back then. But since then it usually ain't nothin special.shit it don't matter anyway. Crooked I is wasted talent. He been rapping since like 97 but has no album out, and he is signed to Deathrow. Ain't shit happening w/ Crooked I, he had his opportunities and never did anything with them. And I don't blame it on Suge knight either. Crook knew about suge before he signed. He dug himself a huge hole and it just seems to get bigger. Hopefully his lost work will surface someday though, cause I know he has some bangin ass shit recorded.

From Muggs to Alchemist to Jacken to Khalil. That's the production I like. Is it as hot as production of old? No. But, we gotta move on. I'm not living in the past, I'm in the present. Icon was the total package on the Wake Up Show, IMO. He had it all. Now, he's wasting away. But, I blame it on Suge. Let's take a trip back to 97. Who was Crooked I signed by? Virgin, they had a chance to drop his LP, but of course they didn't. Who know's why. Then Daz signed him. Daz didn't do nothing with him. He claims to have a "Full LP" from Crooked I, so why didn't he drop it? He's the CEO, that's his responsibility. Icon did his duty, Daz fumbled that. After the Daz deal fizzled, he had nowhere to go. That's when Suge stepped in. Hell, he was running with Deathrow the whole time he was signed by Daz. Who do you think distributed the label at first? Deathrow. So, Icon just went to the parent company. I'm almost sure he has an LP done, it's all Suge. If an album doesn't come out, it's almost always the CEO's fault. An artist like Crooked I has always showed a good work ethic, Suge hasn't always been too reliable.
