JAY TEE SIGNS TO UNIVERSAL!!! Bay Area rap legend and pioneer Jay Tee from N2DEEP and Latino Velvet fame, has just signed with mogul Tommy Mottola's Casablanca/Universal Records. Tommy Mottola is best known as the CEO of Sony Records for many years and for creating the careers of Mariah Carey, Jermaine Dupri, and Ginuwine and countless others. This move marks a winning blow for the Bay Area and the West Coast as a whole as Jay Tee is well known for representing his roots in Vallejo, CA.Universal has been inquiring about Jay Tee for several months and finally made the move. The new album entitled "Like There's No Tommorow" will include several songs off of his High Caliber album and many new tracks including a couple of surprise guest appearances. The first single BABY GIRL featuring Gemini and Magic from NB Ridaz is currently doing well at radio and will be re-serviced by Universal and will be released in January along with the video. The album should be out by Spring.Jay Tee wanted to tell all of his fans, supporters, and industry friends (they know who they are), that he appreciates the never ending support and best wishes he has been receiving. Jay Tee also said he respects the position and chance he is being given once again and will do his best to to make it happen. This information has come down from Jay Tee's manager B-12 and LMD 1510 as well Jay Tee himself. We are working out the details now to be on next years Rock The Mic tour as well as certain Black Album dates so look for your boy Daric B to be providing music and spinning for Jay Tee and his opening acts.
one of the few rappers on the west that still is on top of their game is goin major again! i hope he dont change his name to Jay Tash and moves to atlanta
^^^is Baby Bash the same Baby Beesh of N2Deep w/ a name change?I wonder if Universal will actually support him and give him good promotion. Most west coast acts get shitty support and promotion from the majors.
