"Tonight". Thats my favoirte Quik song ever. That shiet came out when I was like 4-5 and I loved it every since. Its hella smooth and Quik's flow was on point.

Tonite, easily.

Most hip-hop is now keyboard driven, because the majority of hip-hop workstations have loops and patches that enable somebody with marginal skills to put tracks together,...

Unfortunately, most hip-hop artists gravitated towards the path of least resistance by relying on these pre-set patches. As a result, electric guitar and real musicians became devalued, and a lot of hip-hop now sounds the same.

Both classic tracks.

But I was into Snoop at the time Doggystyle was released, while I wasn't listening to Quik in 91. So 'Gin & Juice' gets it.

that's a hard question... i love both of the tracks, but Tonite was one of the first rap songs i listened to (had a dope ass tape called Mega Rap or something back in 92-93 or something), so Quik gets my vote!
