that's one of the best 40' tracks ever! (along with Nah Nah & Hope I Don't Come Back),  the lyrics is great, the beat is amazing and the hook is classic... 40 gets my vote without hesitation!

Never thought I'd see the day that E-40 actually gets props over 2Pac.  :'( It's a happy day. They finally realize E-40 ain't some clown..

But, damn I hate this voting threads.

8 people in this thread said 40, 10 have voted.

3 people in this thread said Pac, 7 have voted.

2 of the people in this thread that voted Pac, haven't heard 40's version.

Oh well. Let em sleep.

This is a good day for us (few) 40 fans.  My fav line from the song btw:

"Can I come back home? huh could I?
Son, you're on your own, why should I?"

That line has been stuck in my head from the first time I ever heard that song back in 96.

the one that was always in my head was "Did you forget that i was your creation? and all i wanted from you all was love, hope, and motivation."

Heh... my thoughts exactly. Never thought 40 would win, not in a million years. Good shit.

ya know...the lyrics i put earlier were the ones that always stuck with me...but i think the best ones in the song officially were:

"wait a minute, i hear sirens, oh thats the couple down the street, domestic violence, either them or the little girl in 306, she's always tellin everyone that she gon' slice her wrists"

that was good because it was focusing on smaller problems that hit closer to home...ya know?

I'll take the E-40 version, because it's his best song, and Bo-Rocc is my favorite G-Funk singer...PeACe
