I just tuned into a 26 minute interview with Too Cool, the rapper signed with IV Life Records out of South Central L.A. (the eastside). Here is the mp3 download:

This is one of the realest interviews I have heard in a while. A quick recap, Too Cool is one of the 4 new artists being schooled by Del Dog and DJ Slip. Del Dog is the president of the long running, Mafia IV Life, car club and president/CEO of IV Life Records. Slip as you know is one of the original members of Comptons Most Wanted with MC Eiht.

I feel the other 3 IV Life artists are still in the "proving" process of how they can "Maintain" for the fact that this brother is officially IV Life. What I mean by that is, Too Cool is officialy from Main Street Mafia 99/98 Crip like all of the IV Life members Del Dog, Big Herb, Big Wood, Lane (Koolaid is with IV Life but he is from a whole another hood). There is no question that all 4 artists are not proven hit makers though.

It's a shame producer Scratch and Lil Heff departed that label, they were official Main Street Mafia too, hence the song "Maintain" with Kam, Dresta & BG, one of the original IV Life tracks that Scratch did. R.E.D. was also IV Life Family and I believe he was related to one of the OG members too.

It's a good interview, if anyone knows the song Too Cool did with Ice Cube. Please drop me a line. Maybe it is going to be on an upcoming volume or Too Cool's debut? I don't know IV Life's release schedule. . .

Out.
