You need to understand that total cost was $27 not $30 because they each got $1 back.So forget about $30 and the $3 given back.Total cost = (9) (3)= $27 Rent cost = $25/3 = $8.33 each person for rentManager Tip = $2/3 = .066 each person for tip$9[total cost] = 8.33[rent] + [.66]tip
OK. I don't know if you're just messing around, or if you're really this stupid. Let me simplify it, or put it into terms you're more familiar with.Your dad, your mom, and you spend a night in a hotel. The hotel keeper is Asian like you, so he says "Give me 30 cats for my dinner, and you can stay the night". Your family comes up with 30 cats and you spend the night. Meanwhile the hotelkeeper and his family eat the cats. The next morning he says "those were too many cats" and he gives your family back 3 cats, and keeps 2 for his pet snake (which he is just feeding so he can eat it later). Now your family only paid with 27 cats, and he has 2. So where is the other 1? Well, he started off with 30 cats, his family ate 25, he gave back 3, and kept 2. Now you would add 25+3+2=30.
