So long, Big Daddy: Nash, WWE part ways

Kevin Nash's days as a WWE Superstar are officially over.
Nash confirmed on his official website (KevinNash.net) Thursday that his WWE contract has ended and he is no longer in affiliation with the company. His wrestling contract with WWE ended on December 31 and said that the company had offered him a 'creative role.' Nash wrote that he declined the offer because he did not want to work five days a week and take time away from his family.
Nash added, "There are many options in wrestling with other companies and I am also looking into more film and television appearances."
Nash was once considered to be one of the best big men ever to set foot in a ring. He started his WWE career as a "bodyguard" for superstar and real-life friend Shawn Michaels, before emerging on his own as Big Daddy Cool Diesel. Nash and Michaels dominated the spotlight in WWE during the early 1990's, winning the tag titles, the WWE title and the Intercontinental title on different occasions.
Nash also had great feuds with friend Scott Hall, and, with fellow wrestlers Sean Waltman and Paul Levesque (Triple H), became the 'Kliq' - a backstage brat pack of sorts as WWE ushered in a new generation of superstars.
In 1996, Nash and Hall defected to World Championship Wrestling as The Outsiders and joined former WWE champion Hulk Hogan to pioneer the New World Order - a fictional faction of former Vince McMahon employees 'invading' WCW.
Nash returned to WWE with Hall and Hogan in January of 2002 and wrestled in very brief stints with the company before suffering quad and neck injuries.
Nash underwent surgery on his injured neck in October, and did not return to action in the ring. His last big match was against none other than his old friend Triple H, in a Hell in a Cell bout last June.
Nash is set to appear in the feature film Punisher, coming out in April.
