i didn't include any of his 'posthumous' releases, cuz those weren't really his releases. i think i'm gonna go with makaveli, just cuz it's reminds me of a book - something that's complete from front to back with different chapters - aeom has got nothin but heat, but every song on there is a single to me, not really a story....vote for your favorite one.......

Makaveli

An album where you can feel the lyrics commin from the heart.  Too bad NO rappers these days have heart.

Most hip-hop is now keyboard driven, because the majority of hip-hop workstations have loops and patches that enable somebody with marginal skills to put tracks together,...

Unfortunately, most hip-hop artists gravitated towards the path of least resistance by relying on these pre-set patches. As a result, electric guitar and real musicians became devalued, and a lot of hip-hop now sounds the same.

Makaveli

I've heard "AEOM" was the album Suge wanted him to do whereas "Makaveli" was what he personally wanted to do back then and I think the lyrics kinda reflect that. The album's close to perfection and the songs are even more passionate than what he'd done before. Also "AEOM" had some skippers on disc/book 2, which Makaveli definitely didn't

As for the others, I still think "THUG LIFE" is an underrated classic, but it wasn't only Pac who made it what it was, it's actually a group album and that's what I always considered it. "Me Against The World" was very personal and overall great too. I don't like his 1st 2 albums as much as the others, they're very good too but Pac elevated as a lyricist later and I prefer the production on his later 3 albums too. In order I think it'd be

Makaveli
THUG LIFE
All Eyez On Me / Me Against The World (can't decide, they pretty different)
2pacalypse Now
Strictly 4 My N.I.G.G.A.Z.

but he never made a bad album...

Yeah definetly. That Pac album has a definite PE feel to it and since Public Enemy is my fave group....you know.

"Makaveli" was posthumous...

Yes, but Pac intended to release it himself anyway.

^^^ yeah, it was finished when he was still alive and from what I know not edited after his death. So practically i don't consider it a posthumous album
