Baby Paw--self titled

Perhaps "profound" is the best word to describe Itchy Palms Recordings artist, Baby PAW. A native of Compton, CA, the "Prisoner at War" says, "I found out at an early age that the world is bigger than Compton and you have to be prepared for different situations." Equipped to conquer any battle, by no means is "baby" a description of his maturity and grip on life.
As his self-titled debut album exemplifies, Baby PAW's forte lies in his skill as a purveyor of truth in songs like Glass House, Not Today, Ghetto Mentality, Worth Livin' For and Ain't No Question. Giving it to you straight with no chaser, he shares his experiences growing up in the inner-city.

A prime example is Haterade, the first single on the album scheduled for release this October. A true to life testimony of the realities of our society, Baby PAW says, "There's a lot of hatin' going on in the industry and in the real world." He takes a break from the hardcore hip hop sound with Weekend which targets fans of all ages. "It is a song that any hard working individual can relate to," describes the artist.

A co-founder of Itchy Palms Recordings, Baby PAW is focused on the big picture. He did more than rap over the tracks of producers, including Shaquil, Talib and Lil Beau, son of industry veteran Lamont Dozier. He writes all of his material and co-produced several songs on the album.

Baby PAW's passion for his work and helping others exhibits his thrust for success in the music business and in life. "It's never too late to start over or go back to school," says Baby PAW. "The hold that we dig for ourselves is the hardest to climb out of."
