good post. In my opinion Dj Muggs is one of the best producers in the game. He's on the same level or better than the other ALL the other great producers. Put is this way, NO-ONE is BETTER than Muggs, others (Dre, Timbo. Rza, Primo, Quik, Daz etc) may be AS good, but no-one is better.
Yup. I feel the same way, except Quik is just better than him. And I wouldn't put Daz in the list.

Sorry Jome. There's nothing "typical" about this thread. Muggs is a name I rarely bring up and is rarely brought up here.

I think it's a sly way to start "SGV presents: Dr.Dre isn't the best producer, nor the 2nd, 3rd or 4th neither, pt.53".. :P

I KNOW you want it!

Muggs is dope but I don't know too much of his work since I am not the biggest Cypress Hill fan, but I know his mixtapes and work with Ice Cube. SGV can you suggest some of his best tracks?

Most hip-hop is now keyboard driven, because the majority of hip-hop workstations have loops and patches that enable somebody with marginal skills to put tracks together,...

Unfortunately, most hip-hop artists gravitated towards the path of least resistance by relying on these pre-set patches. As a result, electric guitar and real musicians became devalued, and a lot of hip-hop now sounds the same.

It's my say of saying Muggs is the second best producer ever. Who the fuck cares about Dre in a Muggs thread? I don't.

Just listen to both of their productions and you will definitely see the major influence that Muggs has had on RZA's work. Plus, its not by pure concidence that the only outside producer to ever produce a track on a proper Cypress Hill album is the RZA, cause Muggs saw him as the next generation of his own style.

Muggs is the inspiration behind the whole Wu sound.

Just listen to both of their productions and you will definitely see the major influence that Muggs has had on RZA's work.
