Word on the block is that Dr. Dre has scrapped Detox. We heard that he’s decided to put energy behind 50 Cent (does this count as more 50 riding?) and Busta. DRE, don’t make us come to Compton or wherever you are!

Sure the fuck ain't compton, LOL

they both have said that numerous times.  I bet it will never happen.  they are both too money hungry.

I agree with LyRiCaL_G in that I think it will drop but its just a matter of when. We have heard so many people in the rap industry say that Dre is a perfectionist and if this is going to be his final album (which many sources have suggested) then I feel he won't release it until he is 100% satisfied with what he has come up with. The moment I heard it was supposed to be dropping in '04 I was skeptical. If it does drop, I believe we are looking at at least a '05 date. Can't explain why but that is just my prediction.

That said, Dre himself has explained before that he considers himself more of a producer than a rapper, and with the news of him putting a lot more input into 50's next release, I don't think the idea of Dre scrapping 'Detox' can be ruled out completely. In my eyes its certainly a possibility, especially if he gets heavier into producing more future projects eg: Em, D12, Busta, 50, Game, not to mention any non Shady/Aftermath artists he may team up with. Who knows....

from what i've heard, allhiphop is notorious for makin up random rumors like this. besides, do u really think dre would sacrifice his own album for his artists' benefits? lol, not likely
they don't make them up , they print what they hear and put it in the rumors section rather than on their news page

iraq would just get annexed by iran

That would be a great solution.  If Iran and the majority of Iraqi's are pleased with it, then why shouldn't they do it?

Last thing I heard was on Westwood the other weekend, where 50 said, and I quote: "Dre's stopped work on Detox for the moment".

Who knows what that means.

Where's Dedicato - Couldn't his Aftermath contacts confirm this?  8)

Well in a way, u can say he "scrapped" Detox because it is going to be nothing like it was supposed to be when it was first being talked about, as far as concept and guest appearances. I mean wtf, if he was gonna have just blaze producin on it, I could damn near care less if it was scrapped, cause then it REALLY ain't what it is supposed to be.

I donno...I just don't want to get excited about it, and I really don't want to have to anticipate it. So right now I am kinda like whaaaaaatever. From all the appearances and all that we have heard about, it seems like it would be more of an album for the moment than somethin classic u feel.
