thats why ftp's are nice...i can download an album and just leave it without worrying about the file not succeeding or me having to resume it...if i have to resume it it will.

And to Teradactyl Man, MIRC is dope if you got cable/broadband, but trust me its a complete bitch with 56k. Most of the file servers require you to have at least 10kb a sec download speed, and the ones which are actual people serving always cancel 56kers when they see how slow the transfer is going.

Yeah I get ya. So if we wanna share how do we find out the hash address for the file we are sharing?

Plus, we could just all add each other to our friend lists, because you can choose to only share with friends on there I think.

...some of us were using at the birth and still are...the 56k people will generally have trouble downloading from irc...and trust me the big boys in the business tranfer with ftp's, dump sites etc... and that IS the way forward in group use

sorry but some people here i know are not dumb..they write their own irc scripts to better suit their needs...

nah see it wasnt my ftp lol...i know how that works and why it got shut down. it was alex's ftp.

i would only allow a few people on there yes...but then again if we did like alex did and let everyone on there and it got shutdown in a couple weeks we could always just open another one.
