don't you hate it when an artist finally blows up that's been around for a while and people think he's some new artist


i.e. ........


when Hi-C had that song on the radio a few months ago "let me know" or whatever it was called, all my friends were like man this new dude is tight...........i hung my head and said  "i got a cd from 10 years ago with this dude on it"


when "slow jamz" came out these people at work were talking and one of them said who sings this song, and the other person in the conversation said "some new guy named twistER" .......i hung my head again and said , dude's name is TwistA and he's been around for a whiiiiile and he use to hold the record for fastest rapper way back in the day


50 cent has got to be the biggest example  i know though

yeah i feel yall on that,cause i remember kanye west producing for this cat name grav bacc in the day and alot of people are thinking he's new, same with kool keith,cats think he had came out only as a solo artist in the 90's with that weird shit he be on now,not knowing he was out bacc in the 80's with ultramagnetic mc's,and the thing that's bad about it,is when they try to argue with you about it,when they really have no ideal what they are talking bout yell

I know that MystiKal was one of them, i remember people thought that he was a new artist when "shake ya ass" came out. and jus like twista, most people didn't even know what he looked like before "slow jamz".
