IMO Lady Of Rage is the best female MC i've heard

Exactly and the old Kurupts and Rage's lyrics aren't that different in structure really. It's only a suggestion though. Reality might have been different but...who knows? Perhaps a Rage interview would be interesting for WCC...I don't remember any interview with her so she might give us some surprises when asked about the Death Row days..
Z knows about ALL your inner conflicts..

RBX helped a lot on the Chronic & Doggystyle stuff, too.  RBX and the DOC would kind of help everybody with their flow and switch words around and shit, and Dre in the studio would give people suggestions on how to make it sound better.  The reason they were all tight is because they were all family helping each other.  Kurupt wasn't writing Daz's shit, Daz was writing his, Snoop was writing Snoop's, Kurupt was writing Kurupts, etc, and then, all dozen of them or whatever were helping each other polish shit up.  So the reason they sound similar, is because it's more of a product of the entire Deathrow Squad then it is individual shit, even though they wrote most of it individually.  It's got more of a deathrow sound than a 'kurupt' or 'daz' sound.

It's actually a great way to do it, Motown built a dynasty doing that.  They had a group of songwriters who wrote songs, a group of producers who produced them, Smokey Robinson writing the lead singles for groups, guys helping them with choreography, etc. etc.  Churned out hit after hit for decades.  The dungeon family kinda does it like that now, but not on such a large scale.  With them they're just kinda tight and hang out together, and get shit accomplished similarly, where it all sounds good.  That might have changed now though, they're kinda fragmented...

Brilliant post. I totally agree. See, it's the same with Pac and the Lawz too. Pac never wrote them their lyrics. Pac made them work so hard that they entered in "the zone", they were on fire, spitting real shit, giving the best of themselves. For sure Pac helped them, but he didnt write them the lyrics. It was the team. Perfect team. Johnny J on the beat, Pac rapping and executive producing it, Lawz spitting hot shit, Pac helping them.. I think it was the same with DPGC back in the days. They were all in the studio, giving the best of them on the mic. That's why Death Row was the shit back in the days. Cause it was the best "family" in rap history. Now nobody can do a better album than the ones released back in the days cause alone you cant do a better job. Plus money fucked them all. And they all got big egos. I think that period is gone forever.
