xzibit didn't get a beat down in mexico. it happened in LA and no they didn't show them when they were in mex.

Strong Arm Steady is wack except for Phil The Agony & Krondon. Xzibit & Mitchy Slick are Garbage. I still can't figure out why Mitchy Slick is in the group.

yes i have and dude is overrated.

Phil The Agony, fits more into the Dilated/Planet Asia/kweli type of music. aka "the backpackers"

Mitchy Slick is a gangster rapper who has no skills so i don't see why you would mix Krondon/Phil The Ag who have more of a back pack audience with a Gangster Rapper. IT doesn't go well and it don't make sense.

Now all the stupid mitchy fans are gonna listen to those mixtapes and think that phil the agony is a gangsta rapper & they gonna get into him kinda like how u did. which is why i feel mitchy dont go well wit kron/phil.

xzibit has been wack. 40 dayz & 40 nightz was the last dope shit he ever did. He was better off when he was underground and making real hiphop as oppose to what hes doing now.

he def ain't overrated on this board.  I betcha less than 10% of this board has heard triggeration station.  I get what ya sayin bout mixin, but imo sas sounds tight together.  I always was just a gangsta rap fan, but then I heard some phil da agony shit with the likwit crew, but I didn't hear much of him.  and I had never heard any krondon before.  Now I really like both those guys.  do they have albums out?

phil some what ditched the likwit and kinda carried on wit seady. Likwit needs to get back together.

no they dont have albums out. just mixtapes. they releasing these mixtapes to get a buzz. everytime they drop mixtapes they gain new fans and thats why they do it so hopefully their debut album will have good underground sales.

yup yup. like we said on another thread, you can tell they're hungry, they're putting in work distributing the mixtapes, and chopping it up with fans on the personal level.

and a point you mentioned above, about the different types of MCs is the whole point... you've got phil da ag for the backpackers, mitchy slick straight thug 'clack clack clack clack clack clack clack '.. lol... krondon is a mixture of both, and xzibit, with an establish name and fan base as the general.

PLUS they've got people like khalil on the beats.. probably a dre one too, maybe muggs?  MCs on the album busta i think rhymes for sure, i've heard maybe Bad Azz..

i think by forming a crew like this xzibit has gained back a lot of respect back, that was lost when the liks and soopafly had bad things to say about him.
but i also think that 'respect' was only lost with internet, and underground fans really..
i'm not really sure what the current situation there is.

on the 'phil ditching' likwit thing.. i dunno really.. he's tash's cousin.. king t can be seen hanging with them on the dvd.. didnt seem like theres any love lost at all.

he's still with them, e-swift produced 6 songs for him, theyre all together and recently signed a new record deal for their collab album, they have some new member called Stylistic
Xzibit isnt a likwit crew member anymore, just an affiliate

and i agree with scott, mitchy slick is pretty overrated, they should replace him with planet asia and chace infinite (they were in the original line-up)

oh and btw. it might seem that they arent as close anymore simply cause the last likwit crew album got released around 6 month ago, they arent really putting anything out lately, but theyll drop firewater in march, all e-swift production with only 1 song produced by madlib 8) (they may have some more producers, but not that much, expect maybe dj danger mouse, theyre label mates and he has quite some hype lately)

on the SAS dvd phil da ag talks about how he got in the game, he says his cousin tash took him around the world on tour with them and that inspired him to get into the rap game.
