alright read the line again jome...you said he ended it that way to show that he wasnt a deep thinker like ras kass or pharoahe monch...umm...hey bud...that line was nowhere near ras or monch standard...in fact it wasnt even deep! it was just clever. so you're whole point goes out the window...now lock this thread like you do to every other one that you don't like.

::) You didn't even read my first post properly.. once again you jump to conclusions, and miss the point. Go back and read the part where I posted that 50 is not Ras, not Pharoahe, and not Chino or Talib Kweli for that matter.

And how am I a dickrider, when I made THIS THREAD months before he signed with Shady/Aftermath, I been following duke since he was UNDER the underground, something I really doubt you have.
And ain't nobody in here trying to declare 50 as the king of rap, king of N.Y. or whatever.. it's simple macho braggadoccio with sick beats in the background.
Get your facts straight next time.

ok i read it again...and it said exactly what it said the first time! "50 probably did this on purpose, to show that he's not a deep thinking conscious rapper, like say Ras Kass or Pharoahe Monch.."

a deep thinking conscious rapper...that line was not deep thinking at all.

as for you being a dickrider im sure most of this board can agree with me on that.

And where did anyone say that the line was deep thinking.. ?
It SOUNDED like he was about to say something smart based on a well known saying. BUT DIDN'T, get it straight this time.

Me dickrider.. ?? Yeah sure, I don't listen to 50-100 different artists.. right ::)

yeah, it was a clever line, followed by a mediocre one, u can find that in many of his songs...ain't like he never wrote a clever line

"If I shoot you, I'm famous
you shoot me, you brainless, you said it yourself"

that for example was a pretty clever line too, but it's followed by

"I'm slick enough to twist your lines and send them back at you
Swift enough to snatch the mack and pop that at you"

...which takes it back to mediocrity. nuthin new

I think GRODT was excellent... Not way up there in my top 10 or anything like that, but damn good. BUT, I gotta say I hate the direction they've taken G-Unit. I mean, while the album had dope tracks like Poppin' Them Thangs and Lay You Down and some others, they've been doing way too much Ja Rule type of shit. Which is corny as fuck, since they dissed Ja for making that sensitive love-thug type of shit, and now they're doing it themselves. Wanna Get To Know You, Smile, that one song with Joe (Not Wanna Get To Know You, the one that's Joe feat. G-Unit) - it's the same exact shit. Now, ain't nothin' wrong with singing and rapping about love. But when you release 3 singles in a row where you do just that - Wanna Get To Know You, Smile and the new Joe track - it's gonna be hard to maintain that G image. Basically, I feel that they're not sticking to their trade, not "keepin' it real". Hopefully their solo albums won't be filled with the soft stuff. "What happened to the thugs, drugs and G-hits? Singin' all this soft shit just to please a bee-zitch." 50 and G-Unit's way better when they do them G-hits and "In Da Club" type of joints. A new 21 Questions won't hurt, but don't fill your album with the stuff. At least spare The Game from it.

50's a dope rapper...not in a lyrical sense (his lyrical skillz are good enough for his type of music)...he knows how to be a good rapper and sell money with his *formula* 8)

Lloyd banks album is coming april or june i believe?

i wouldnt call it clever at all...i mean when jay says "lyrically i wanna be like talib kweli" or whatever and talib twisted that around...i thought wow...thats kinda unoriginal.
