I gotta say Charlton Heston. Incredible performances; Planet Of The Apes, Ben Hur, The 10 Commandments, etc....

Unfortunately, most hip-hop artists gravitated towards the path of least resistance by relying on these pre-set patches. As a result, electric guitar and real musicians became devalued, and a lot of hip-hop now sounds the same.

Mel Gibson.  And No, not because of "the passion".  I haven't even seen that... he's just great in all of his movies, and no pun intended, the perfect word to describe him on screen is "passionate".  He really gets into his characters, and gives them a realistic quality.  Check out "Signs" and watch how he plays the cowardly father forced to protect his family.  Check out "We Were Soldiers", and how he plays the hardened war captain who struggles with his morals and his duty.  You can always see a man who is considering and you can see what he's feeling, not just what he's acting.

Other favorites are Bruce Willis, for similar reasons, and Tom Hanks, because he's a dork but I feel empathy for his characters.  Sean Penn is another, but I haven't seen enough of his movies to make him a true favorite.  I love Tim Robbins, and it breaks my heart to hear him speak out on the political things he does, Johnny Depp one day will be one of the greatest actors of all time.  Also, Jack Nicholson is always great to watch, awesome actor.

I am in the same boat with Trauma.  Love Gibson, as he said whether playing a hard ass cop with an cocky attitude or a scared ex-vicar tryin to come to terms with his loss of faith he always comes across so convincing.

On top of Gibson, are Hanks and Cruise.

Bruce Willis

I watch anything with those guys in it. Even if the movie looks lame. Been a big Gibson fan since the Lethal Weapon movies, Bruce with the Die Hards, and just enjoyed everything Ed has been in. Primal Fear floored me the first time I watched it. He was awsome.

Samuel L. Jackson. Every role I've seen dude play I've loved. He's very versatile too, done all kinds of films.
