Multi-platinum artist Xzibit, Contrabandit.com along with Boost Mobile are coming back with their artist showcase event Rhyme Night.

The event has had some high success exposing up-and-coming artists to industry folks as well as the hip-hop fans in Los Angeles. On this Rhyme Night, Talib Kweli, who is prepping his next LP The Beautiful Struggle, has been recruited for a special live performance.

Others set to hit the stage are L.A. up-and-comers Sly Boogy and Xzibit's group, Strong Arm Steady.

"Sly Boogy and Strong Arm are two of the biggest new acts on the West," Xzibit, co-founder of Rhyme Night, said. "Rhyme Night is focusing the spotlight on these particular artists because we want to build their fan bases. They definitely have a lot of buzz in the streets and we want to let the fans come out and enjoy their live performance."

Ryan Ford, co-founder of Rhyme Night and West Coast Correspondense of The Source, agrees with X.

"Sly Boogy and Strong Arm Steady have a very strong presence on mixtapes throughout the West Coast and now its time for their fans to get a chance to see them," Ford said. "Performing alongside an established artist like Talib Kweli only heightens awareness about these groups."

Rhyme Night will jump-off on April 17th at the Key Club located on the Sunset Strip. Doors open at 9:00 PM.

aiiight. this is just a rumor. THere's no Xzibit/Kweli/Sly Boogy show on the 17th of April. This is bullshit. I called Key Club and they have some other shit on that day, and they don't even have Xzibit or Kweli for any other day this month. Fuck whoever spread this rumor

nah dogg, i just called too. they supposedly have some other people performin at the venue.. but i dont know why they would be spreadin this shit..

first of all, there were TONS of concert promoters that were promoting this show after the Kanye show. i must have heard them shouting out "talib kweli, april 17th!" at least 100 times that night..i even got a flyer that im looking at right now in my hands.. that says:
