Hi-Life Hustle vs the New Testament
« on: April 08, 2004, 03:46:47 AM »
both albums have been released long enough to make an honest review and i feel hi-life hustle is way better. it just sounds to me like the suga free album was recorded over a long time. the hi-c sounds more like a concentrated and well planned labum to me. it has a similar vibe to it from start to end. i can listen to hi-life hustle front to back more often than suga free. i like the beats more and the better sound quality helps too. ;D

peace

Hi-Life Hustle for me. Both albums are dope but like you said, Hi-C's album sounds more complete. I can play it all the way through without skipping and I dont get tired of it, and its been out since November. Theres a couple songs I dont like on Suga Free's album, the last few tracks are kinda weird

Bad choice of words when it comes to Hi-C's CD ;)

Hi-C is one of the next album's I'm gonna get, but they don't have it out here in the wack azz city I go to college in.

But I donno....I am not underestimatin Hi-C, but the only way I see his album bein better is if the production and all is just damn near perfect. Not only do I think Suga Free's album has some dope ass beats, but he spits some hillarious shit on every single track, and I know Hi-C cannot top him when it comes to rap. So maybe I will be shocked by his CD, but I just don't see it bein better than Suga Free, even after hearin 5-6 songs from Hi-Cs album, so I'll judge when I hear it.

I think Free's destroys Hi-C's. Hi-Life Hustle is cool, but it gets played out kinda fast. The only songs I listen to are Do It, Let Me Know, Hit Me Where It Hurts & Big Girls Need Love Too.

I like every song on The New Testament, except for tracks 4(HORRIBLE beat), 8, 9 and 10.

Haha U dont like Get loose and Did i do that?!?!?  :o...U crazy.....oh well...back to topic....Sugafee album is alot better only songs i dont bother about on there is Dont fight the pimpin (cant stand recycle shit) Yo Momma Yo daddy ( terrible beat, did Quik forget to turn down the BPM? Suga sounds like he is tryin too keep up tha pace of tha song lol ,reminds me alot of the 2pac song on all eyez on me Whats ya phone)) You just wont stop talkin (weak beat and that pryncezz girls pops up again in here, she is startin to annoy me like a mothafucka) and She gets what She pays for.. , i dont get how u can say that the Hi-C album sounds more complete? It has many songs that sound alot alike..too many clubtracks where Crawf raps then a girl (Pryncezz  ::)) pop up does the hook with him or somethin..gets boring hearin 4 tracks in a row soundin like that! At the end production gets weak..only 2 song that are dope..Do it and Run up,done up (only song really that switches up the vibe of the album)...Haha and who said that the Suga album had been done in a long time...what about Hi-C album? lol....his last release came out in 93  ::)...Anyway...Bring back TONY A!

Nah, I ain't feelin' 'em. Did I Do That sounds like shit to me, & Get Loose is pretty average. I don't like Don't Fight Da Pimpin' for the exact same reason you don't.

I don't care for Yo Momma Yo Daddy either(forgot to mention it), too weird for me. I thought it was okay at first.
