England Euro 2004 Song

Typical
 :'( :'(

FOOTBALL’S European Championships are more than a month away but the FA have already scored an own goal . . . signing BLAZIN’ SQUAD to sing the official England song.
That’s right, the ten “bad ass” lads from middle-class suburban North London will represent our boys in the charts.

They think it’s all over, surely it is now.

The kiddies’ favourites signed an agreement this week after top secret talks with English football’s governing body.

An insider at the meeting at the FA’s London headquarters in Soho Square told me: “The deal has been done and the band will follow in the footsteps of NEW ORDER, ECHO & THE BUNNYMEN and ANT & DEC to represent England.

“The decision was a long and hard one and the FA think that the band has broad enough appeal to make this footie song one of the most successful ever.

“The band are obviously very excited and realise this will open up new markets for them.

“They are writing with producers at the moment to try and find something that is just right to spur the team on to success this summer.”
