Help Me please! ~ MY COMPUTER IS FUCKED UP! ~ HELP ME please!

So yesterday I was online, on here actually and it was working fine then I click the home link on the page and a page cannot be displayed error comes up so I say fuck it and sign on to AIM that was working fine then I get up and leave it for about 2 minutes, I come back and the whole thing froze!!! so I turned it off from the power button and go out, then I came back home and sign on to the internet regularly but now I cant open  any page, every single webpage I try to open says either; "webpage unavailable" or "Cannot find server" and then AIM wont even sign on it just says the step 1: Connecting... and stops there, basically just freezes on step 1.  I've been trying to run Norton antivirus and after a while that freezes up in the middle of the scan...does anyone know why this is happening and how to fix it??

Not 100% sure homie, but it seems like u got too much shiit on your hardrive, u need to press ctrl+Alt+Del and end anyprogram that aint:
taskmgr.exe
explorer.exe
IEXPLORER.EXE (if ure looking at the net)
and anything being run by the system

that would eliminate any rouge programs running, aswell as others taking up alot of virtual memory.

hopefully you will be able to run your virus check, delete some shiit if theres alon on your hard drive & defragment your shiit!!

Yea I'll try and Defrag.  jus now the shit kept coming on and off and at the bootup screen a blue box with a whole lot of text came up saying there is aproblem or something but as sooon as it came up it restarted again so I didnt hAVE ENOUGH TIME TO READ IT now I'ma try again and turn on the Defrag before I go to work and see if it helps, thanks.

If the whole defrag thing doesn't work, you may just have to re-install windows xp (I'm assuming that's what you're running)...

You could be overloading the virtual memory. Make sure too many programs are not starting up on startup.

Check your taskbar, change properties to stop programs from automatically starting up on startup. Also check startup on program menu...Start>>Programs>>Startup.

Then check CPU Usage by control/alt/delete maybe you can remove some process and see if you can get online serivce to work.

If all else fails re-boot your system to when you orginally bought it.

also try...

start>run>msconfig

under the startup tab, uncheck everything that aint really necessary, that should at least speed things up a little bit

^^^^yeah i had one recently...it was downloading other viruses every time i connected to the net...trialware version of norton antivirus sorted that tho...over a hundred different files were classed as "threats"

son of a bitch going through them one by one and removing them from the system registry

Sounds to me like you just need some more RAM...

RAM is pretty cheap...you can get a 256mb stick of it for like $50...that'll definitely speed up your comp...
