Kutcher's Murder Mystery
Back in 2001, Ashton Kutcher was just the doofy guy from "That '70s Show" who'd been in "Dude, Where's My Car?" In that pre-Demi, pre-"Punk'd" world, his peripheral connection to a murder investigation didn't raise many eyebrows. Cut to 2004, and suddenly it's news.

In Touch reports that three years ago, Kutcher was scheduled to pick up Ashley Ellerin, 22, for some post-Grammy partying, but when he arrived at her Hollywood home, no one answered the door. He reportedly peered in the windows, noticed what he thought were red wine stains on the floor, and then left.

The next morning, Ellerin's roommate found her stabbed to death. The killer is still at large. Now don't jump to the wrong conclusion: Kutcher is not and has never been a suspect, but Ellerin's parents remain upset that he didn't immediately call the police.

"His behavior suggests he felt she was a disposable date," her father tells the magazine. "Because of him, the perpetrator got a 12-hour head start ... It's like a person who sees an accident on the highway and doesn't stop."

Kutcher's lawyer tells the New York Post the actor "was not dating this girl. She was dating one of his good friends. Ashton was only picking her up to meet up with other friends as a favor to other people, so he left. When he found out the girl had been murdered, he came forward and went to police. The police never sought him out."
