Yea it’s the same Testament album that was shelved for so many years. Cormega said when he left def jam in 99 Kevin Liles offered him the Testament masters for 250,000 no problem, which was actually a good deal because the cost of recording the album was closer to 400,000. Then after cormega was featured on Murda Muzik and QB's finest he went he went back to Def Jam with the 250,000 and they said they wanted 350,000 instead. So Cormega said fuck you, went and did the realness then went back again, Def Jam gave him the run around so he went and did true meaning. Mega then sent one of his associates to see Randy Acar at Def Jam to tell him Cormega wanted the album back and they were like "what for?" and that it wasn’t for sale, they would only license it to him. But apparently they ended up selling it back to him sometime within the last year probably because (1) the stipulations on the album would have been void after 7 years, so cormega could have just re-recorded the entire thing and not paid def jam a dime and (2) Def Jam has hit some hard times as of late so they could have see it as an easy way to make a couple hundred thousand off something basically worthless to them. Cormega has been saying he'll release the Testament around 6 months after the Legal Hustle comp, so probably around Christmas. He said while there are tons of bootlegs floating around only 5-6 songs off the album have been officially released/bootlegged and there are tons of songs that have never leaked. I can't wait to hear the full thing.
