After hearin Daz on the Tipsy remix...
« on: May 27, 2004, 07:36:31 PM »
Well first up...I don't think there is any threads on Daz on the Tipsy remix, I searched for it and didn't see anything. First up...did Daz do the beat for Tipsy? My friend swears he did.

But anyway....I donno about y'all, but I think Daz came hard as hell on the remix, and came waaay harder than J-Kwon. Bein that this song was already a big success with J-Kwon's weak flows, imagine if Daz get's a first single that is this type of track. I definitely won't be mad or be like "he's sellin out!" because I love club bangers and as long as his flow is tite, regardless of his lyrics, I would be down for that. What do you all think?

Thats true, but I said that just showin that if J-Kwon blew off of the garbage he spit, Daz spittin somethin better is likely to blow up just as big u know. Other than the fact Daz ain't 17 and got girls jockin like that.

Daz has his mind right now. JD got him actually working on music, not beefing on the internet. This was Daz's best move, since Dogg Food.

tipsy is a cool lil song.  I aint really gonna bump it in the ride or nothin.  But if  im in da club, its a cool as lil song.  Especially if im drinkin, ima be on da flo droppin it with da hoez mayne.  Some of yall, not everybody, but some of yall be hatin on songs just cuz it aint west or cuz its always on radio.  Like other coast cant come wit heat.  Now I luv west coast hip hop cuz its the most gangstafied, funked out, smoothest region out there.  Aint nothin wrong wit a lil variety ,which is where south and east comin.  Even so, sometimes the only differences between a track is the accent of a rapper.  Man, give up props when props due.  Tipsy had a bagin ass track with a hard ass hook.  From a previous thread, thats what makes a hit song to the majority of yall anyway.  And JKwon didnt come off that bad anyway.  Coming from a west coast junkie, that lil nigga came off way harder than snoop and kurupts previous singles.  Quit hatin , be open minded, and luv music for what it is.  If you wanna hate, hate at the fact that the industry is dickin the west coast.  Dont hate on the music.  Cuz jkwon, st louis, southern rap was getting dicked too in the past, just like we are now

Do you mean all of their previous singles (ever since day one) or do you actually mean their last singles?

Very true, I never go to clubs where they play a lot of urban music and I have never heard this song in a club (lol I've seen it only once on TV and that was in a new videos show), but this is definately a good song to bounce to :)

I donno if that is to me. But in no way am I hatin. I will be one of the quickest to say that J-Kwon comes decent on his freestyles and on other tracks, but just like Cassidy and many others, he sucks on his first single. I still think people get "hatin" confused for just not likin somethin. And st louis rappers are gettin their shine now, but most of em aren't comin too hard. When the west coast came, we were on point in every single way. I don't really get mad seein people from the midwest blow like that, but I will point out that they are weak if they are, or if they come weak on certain songs I will point that out as well.

You're right....you probably won't hear Tipsy in your type of clubs.  You'll more like hear Y.M.C.A. or Macho Man ;D sung by alot of men wearing leather vests. 8)

Thats cool.  Some of yall got respectable reasons for not liking the song than and thats cool.   And the true haters know what Im talkin about. Cuz they the ones talkin shit about a song in the forums or wit they peoples, but steady noddin their heads to the beat in thier bedroom, or looking up the lyrics on ohhla, or even getting crunk in the club when YEAH drops.  Trust me ive seen it.  Anyways, I was speakin on snoop and kurupts recent singles, for whoever asked the question.  I just wanna make sure people aint being too bias on music cause of what state the muthfucka come out of.
