does anyone have any news on the nwa reunion thing, they made 3 reunion tracks in the last four years and still havent made an album.

reunion tracks - hello, chin check, the shit (with the DOC)

Cube, ren and snoop and obviously yella keep saying it can still happen but whats up with dre.

Also isnt cube supposed to have a new album produced by dre, when the fuck is that gonna happen, why does dre keep putting off these albums?

Trauma over at B-pLeAsE's West Coast Killaz put up some sad news about the NWA reunion album. Here's the quote from Dr.Dre :

"We got a couple things down, nothing that I'm happy with, so they don't mean anything...The status of N.W.A right now remains in limbo, because everybody that's supposed to be a part of this record has their own careers, and they're out doing their things. Cube is working on a big special-effect movie, Snoop has a record coming out and is gonna promote that, and I'm working with my new artists, trying to do my thing. I have no idea when that record's gonna happen, or if it's gonna happen."

I've never even heard "The Shit" before. I guarantee this never comes out though. The closest thing we'll get to another NWA project is suntin' Game releases.

this is how it should go down......after 213 drops I think snoop ren and cube should get together WITHOUT dre(I know that sounds crazy, but hear me out) I think they should make a few t.v. appearances and the most Important thing they need to do is go hard on the mixtape scene....drop some shit on a whoo kid c.d. or welcome to the chuuuch volume 42 or what ever.....I think once dre sceen that  they were generating thiere own buzz and that the masses want new NWA material he would get down.... I personally don't think dre can take an artist straight off the street and  blow them up... everyone he's worked with for about the past 6-7 years are artists who already have a rep, and a game plan and even without dre they could blow up. dre hasn't   found any new talent since snoop and thats the truth... eminem would have blown with or with out dre and so would 50 cent and game...the point I'm trying to make is that dre likes artists who already have direction and it seems like snoop and ren and cube are waiting to find out what thier direction is from dre.

thats a good idea, cube, ren, snoop and yella can do it without dre, dres only needed for production, there's other good producers out there
right now the westcoast needs nwa
i truly believe that has kept the westcoast strong at all is wscg

He may be a movie star, with "Torque" and the hit "Barbershop 2: Back in Business" currently in theaters, but Ice Cube's not dropping the mic. Indeed, the actor is diving even deeper into the world of breakbeats and hardcore raps as he begins his next solo LP.

"It's gonna be whatever it develops into," the West Coaster said of the LP. "We just started considering it. I'm gonna turn off everything, both videos and music, feel my inner thoughts and start writing a record."

Even as the frowning MC adds new chapters to his book of rhymes, he's not sure what label he'll record them for. Although he told MTV more than a year ago that he and his N.W.A co-founder Dr. Dre were close to finalizing a deal to bring Cube to Dre's Aftermath label (see "Dr. Dre To Produce Next Ice Cube Record"), the two have yet to agree on terms.

"We haven't been able to come up with the right deal with Aftermath," Cube admitted. "Sometimes the hardest part of making these records, when you've got two superstars, is coming up with a deal everyone agrees on. So until we do, I'm considered a free agent."

When you're sitting pretty in Hollywood like Cube, you can afford to drag out negotiations. He's signed on for the "XXX" sequel, due next year, in which he'll star as an extreme secret agent — but not the Xander Cage character that Vin Diesel played (see "Ice Cube Signs On To Make 'XXX' Movie").

"They're doing a new 'XXX' concept every time," Cube clarified. "It's cool. I'm glad to get in on the second rather than the fifth one. We're still working on the script. I want to tailor-make the part for me. I don't want to do what Vin did, ya know? Our movie should stand alone like his."

Speaking of standing alone, word is that Westside Connection's three members may go their separate ways due to friction in the group. While Cube wouldn't elaborate on the trio's rumored beef, he also didn't rule out trying to increase sales of their most recent album, Terrorist Threats.

"We think about puttin' tours together whenever time permits," he said. "My movie schedule is crazy. I don't want to run myself too hard, so we still tryin' to figure it out."
