This movie preys on a liberal mind.  See, to even appreciate this movie, you have to believe that Big Business is fucking up the world so bad, that this shit is all just days away.  Al Gore is going around promoting the movie, like it's a glimpse into the future or some shit.

This shit will NEVER happen, it's bullshit by the liberals that run hollywood, this is the kind of shit they think is going to occur in the near fucking future.  It makes them feel good inside that they can make a movie with a 'message' like this, lol.

The whole movie is based on the premise that businesses and evil car owners are killing the ozone layer, forcing 'global warming' which will melt the ice caps.  In the movie, the melting ice caps apparently melt at once, because they portray a giant tidal wave hitting the U.S., like the Ice caps just all said "Fuck It" at 1 time and decided to melt spontaneously, creating a huge wave that crushes New York.  In the movie, nobody knows a 300 foot wave is coming; no warnings, no... nobody sees it coming, the city just gets pounded by it with no news coverage, etc... LOL

Typical Liberal wacko shit, there's a 1975 Newsweek with "GLOBAL COOLING!!!" As the coverstory.  Yeah; 29 years ago, all the Liberals were swearing up and down that the earth was cooling much too rapidly.

Who's saying anything about big business and liberals???

I went to see the movie for one reason:  A giant storm ripping the world apart with all the amazing special effects.  I could care less about global warming, another ice age, etc...the movie was awesome.

I'm just telling you the reason behind the movie being made.  I can't get over that, so I'm not watching the motherfucker.  The 1 star rating all the reviewers gave it helps that decision, lol.

lol Trauma watch the movie first the storms are not entirely caused by melting glaciers Mr. Knowitall  :D

Doesn't global warming cause global cooling  ??? ;D

Your mistaken if you think your smarter than executives/directors that put down 100 million dollars to make this movie...watch the movie and you'll see why NY was not warned about the tidal wave.

How much meth will $8 buy you anyways ??? ;D

moron, those raters are biased who gave it a 1 star rating, you just feel u fit in with them, fuck that shit, this film was a classic, probably the best natural disaster film i've ever seen. Id give it a 9/10. Man the screenplay was great, the acting was awesome and the direction fit very well. The thing that had me laughin was how all the Americans came down to Mexico to seek refuge, heh they were tearing down the walls and even crossed the river, lmao (what goes around comes around!), that was a dope scene and the ending speech from the president of encouraging. Very good concept, just that the climate can't change all so quickly naturally since it takes years in the process. BUt this was a great flick and I'd give it a 9/10.
