JEDI MIND TRICKS RETURNS TO LAB TO RECORD FOURTH ALBUM, LEGACY OF BLOOD

The rumors are true. Jedi Mind Tricks members Vinnie Paz and Stoupe are back in the lab constructing their fourth album, LEGACY OF BLOOD, scheduled to be released by Babygrande Records on August 24, 2004.

Frontman, Vinnie Paz, says, "We've been a group that generally takes a long time to make records, but we hit a creative streak after finishing Visions of Gandhi, going on tour and whatnot. We decided to get back in the lab."

Answering the critics of Visions of Gandhi's more polished sound, Vinnie says, "At first, people weren't sure how they felt about Violent By Design as a follow up to Psycho-social and I think, to some extent, Visions of Gandhi is a similar situation. We didn't want to make Violent By Design 2. Each record is a personal message sent from a different period in our lives. With Visions of Gandhi, I needed an outlet for the anger I was feeling about personal issues and other shit going on in the world and the record reflects that."

Speaking on the expectations surrounding their newest effort, Vinnie says, "Critics will always compare our records, but all of our records have been made with a similar aesthetic. We've always made the records we've wanted to make. We've always made records that pay homage to the rawness of the Golden Era of Hip-Hop, the records made between '88-93. We've always been about raw beats and raw rhymes."

"My greatest challenge is not what's happening at the moment, my greatest challenge was knocking Liverpool right off their fucking perch. And you can print that." Alex Ferguson

I read this too, when I first visited the dope brand-new website. I'm really looking forward to this release. The Jedi Mind Tricks is my favourite group - Stoupe is my favourite producer. I can't think of any really whack song by the Jedi 8) The Outerspace album was dope too.

see, im a huge jedi mind tricks fan, and an ever bigger Stoupe fan,.. but i dunno what to expect. Violent by Design was Classic and Flawless, (i think, i dont skip anything on there, especialy the new deluxe 1 has blood runs cold, my fav song, and a phat remix) lyrics and production were amazing, very dark, and intresting skits psycosocial did not have the production of VBD, it was really underground but poor, i think,.. Visions of Ghandi was very mixed... The production came amzing, but lyrics fell... Vinnie brought a newer Rawer but much simpler style... he rapped less about religion, war, and intresting topics... and was just violent, with really simple lyrics, he was outshined by every guest.. making this cd very mixed. Now im not sure what to expect, i will deffinatly pick this up, just to hear stoupes new shit.. cause he will deffiantly bring some sick beats, as far as vinnie paz... i duno... and i really wana hear outerspace, i have it downloaded, just no time...

I hope there are a lot of guests on this album.  One or two every track should solve the main problem this group has.

CalebOhio: I think i can speak for many others when i say my favorite rap artists are white but i still want black artists to be dope. they are chosing not to be. that wouldn't be a likely believe held in a white supremacist group. I want Nas to deliver evertime but he doesn't every time Sage does. so Sage gets my $15 regardless or his status. fuck your status perception and labels you use.
