Twinz - Conversation (man, this album is banging!)
« on: June 06, 2004, 08:49:08 AM »
Now, let me just start off by saying that the weather's extremely good right now in Belgium (and in most of Western Europe), hella hot (around 30 C°).
Me & my family had a BBQ, laying in the sun in our backyard...taking it E-Z 8) This was really the perfect moment to bump Conversation: when the weather's good and you just wanna chill, kick your feet up & do nothing.

Conversation is an album I can actually play from front to back without having to skip a single track. 98% of this album is pure "feeling-good-type-of-tracks", great back-up vocals from Tracey Nelson & Nanci Fletcher...really: amazing album.

I know that most of the people on this board already have this album, but just in case some of you don't: I highly recommend you to go get it (or d/l it, since it's out of print).

I just wanted to share that with y'all...anyone else who thinks that album deserves atleast a 8,5/10?

I'd rate it even higher than that.

I was bumpin it yesterday. It hella sunny, hot weather. I felt like goin out in the morning to see what was happening out there, watch them summer-dressed shorties, maybe buy some stuff... Loaded Conversation into my MP3 playa and was ready to go.

Fuck I love summer, G Funk is here to stay!!  8)

Yeah this is definatly a 8+/10 for me....

summer g-funk, warren g's production at his highest peak and you cant go wrong

my faves were GOOD TIMES and SORRY I KEPT YOU damn classics.........

and i guarantee the twinz new album wont be not even HALF as dope, simply because of the absence of warren g production (but i hope the g child gives beats)

I never bought any thing from G-Funk productions. Never caught my ear. I liked a few songs here and there, but Warren G don't do it for me.

He is giving them one beat at least. There was a snippet of it, sounded dope.

Never really liked it.

Most hip-hop is now keyboard driven, because the majority of hip-hop workstations have loops and patches that enable somebody with marginal skills to put tracks together,...

Unfortunately, most hip-hop artists gravitated towards the path of least resistance by relying on these pre-set patches. As a result, electric guitar and real musicians became devalued, and a lot of hip-hop now sounds the same.
