Aftermathmusic.com:
The Warren G. Song "Annie Mae" was supposed to be on the first aftermath compilation. What happened?

Tony Best:
It got pulled due to problems with the labels. Plus, it had a sample from Prince's "Darling Nikki" that didnt get approved. The original version is tight as fuck. Warren came with it on that track.

Wow. How I'd like ta hear that!

imo

daz didnt want dre on the cd becuz of what happen on the chronic...i remember daz on a fuck dre spree many moons back, kuz it was numerous songs he produced on the chronic and never got credit 4 or paid..4 along wit warren and others..

not only could dre have had ghost produced some songs.. but dj quik could have too, quik was around the camp around that time..and the cd does say david blake, instead of quik..why would he say david and not quik? and alot of those songs does have a quik sound..and has his signature bells

Daz was asked in an interview what songs he produced on The Chronic and Doggystyle, and there weren't many, he just wants the credits for those few songs. And DJ Quik was listed as David Blake not to trick people who didnt know he produced on albums, but just for legal reasons.

I dont care what anyone says, i would put alot of money down that dre produced RESPECT and LETS PLAY HOUSE...
1) these beats sound exactly like dres style at the time
2) these beats are too good to be daz (best beats on the album)
3) dre talks on both of them...coincidence??

ghost producing to make up for the beats daz did for dre in the past like murder was the case, rat tat tat tat etc...

I agree 100%, and I've always felt that way.  You can't tell me Dre didn't produce Let's Play House, and Respect.  I'd bet money on it.

talkin about dogg food again. i just noticed that NOT ONE dogg food track is on the death row greatest hits album. in europe the released a GH volume2 last years and still no dogg food tracks on the discs. amazing how they placed Dear mama, Me against the world, Pour out a little liquor, keep ya head up on the first GH. these tracks arent even death row tracks lol. or daydreamin and Who been there, who done that?... greatest hits?? hell nah.

the 'dre' feel may be down to the fact that Dre mixed pretty much the whole album!

btw which tracks did Pooh produce again? NY, NY is one right? what are the others..

kurupt produced one towards the end too...
