btw, to Rampant.  Griffey will be in the HOF.  How can a guy thats one HR shy of being in the 500 club not be in the HOF.  Hes gonna have a few more solid years, even if he doesnt hes still gonn abe a hall of famer

they were discussing this on espn the other day... they said that it doesn't take much to get 500 homeruns these days so that doesn't automatically get you into the hall of fame.  you gotta bring some defense to the table as well... which griffey does.  so if he does get to the hall of fame, it won't be because of his homeruns alone.  i think they brought it up because of sammy sosa... sure the guy can hit the long ball but he's not really what a lot of people consider to be a great ball player.

but Griffey was hitting HR's before the Mcgwire , Sosa, Bonds era where HR's were just exploding of the bat.  Griffey is a true HR hitter ya know?  yea his D will help him alot though

oh man griffey is a sure shot first ballot hall of famer, that's not even a questionable!

don't get me wrong... i'm not saying that he's not going to the hall of fame.  the boy definitely deserves it.  i'm just saying that it won't be because of his homeruns alone.
