for soime cats on here, it's okay to rap about blasting people, slanging drugs, smoking weed etc. etc. BUT if u actually do one of the crimes and are caught for it then suddenly people lose all support of this artist and hope they get locked up forever or some shit. LOL

like I said in the other thread. Almost ALL Westcoast rappers are involved in criminal activities EVERYDAY from smoking weed to carring guns to worse. Tray Deee was just one of the ones that got caught...

as I also siaid before, if it's a crime like rape or molesting children or something sick like that, then I agree with locking them up. But if it's a crime like packing a gun, drug related or some similar crime that happens everyday in this lifestyle that the cats rap about - then I don't wish jail on them...

here's my thought...it's cool to rap about criminal shit...if you have to do the shit you rap about....don't get caught....i'm not wishing jail time on anyone but if they do get caught.....then they have to do the time, and i'm not about to sign petitions to FREE WHOEVER....hundreds of criminals get caught each year...just because they don't rap about it doesn't make them any more/less a criminal than someone who does. they're grown men and they know the responsibility of their actions

in that case you obiously do not have a problem with violence or any other criminal activity, you think the lucky/clever dudes should not be punished since they manage to get away with it

so the reason for saying those who get caught have to do the time is simply that you conclude, since the laws are like that, of course they have to do it, which is only logical but doesn't have anything to do with your idea of justice and with what you really think they deserve


getting caught doesn't make the crime worse so unless you simply hate dumb/unlucky people in general, you will agree that everybody deserves the same punishment, whether they're clever/lucky enough to get away with it or not
(taking away the fact that of course in reality the ones who get caught have to do the time and those who get away can't be forced to since they're not present)

I don't like the stereotypical aspects of 'gangster' rap you just mentioned.  I'm more into flow, and the beat of the song.  I'm more into the sounds I hear, not the message I hear... because frankly, I don't identify with 1 thing any rapper says.  Seriously, hardly ANYTHING.  I love rhythm, though, and a song with a nice beat, a nice melody in the beat, and a nice rhythmic flow is niiiice.  If they're rapping about something worth while, I.E. Roscoe's "The Brother" or something like that, it just makes it all the better.  

I'm also a fan of funny things, so like Tray Dee's stuff sometimes made me chuckle, becuase he said something clever... but I've never been a fan of what he promotes and glorifies.
