quick review of jay-z's "Reasonable Doubt"

(1/2) > >>

Don Jacob:

1. Can't Knock the Hustle
a pretty cool song nothing special but nothing whack, kinda monotonous-3

2. Politics as Usual
nice bouncy beat, jay-z comes correct, annoying chorus but a solid song-4

3. Brooklyn's Finest
classic joint with an old fashioned "wild wild west" saloon beat, an excellent biggie appearance, only flaw is the 2pac diss- 5

4. Dead Presidents 2
classic jay-z shit right here, the first Dead Presidents was much better but this is still a classic joint- 5

5. Feelin' it
annoying song, unless you like 1920's lounge music, only thing good is jay-z's lyrics-3

6. D'evils
Great Great song, dj premier comes correct with the snoop voice sample from murder was the case , classic ass song-5

7. 22 two's
TIGHT ski beat, Jay-z come VERY correct here, another classic song-5

8. Can i Live
pretty tight song  not really a classic but better than the usual ,great counter melody on the beat-4.5

9. Ain't No *****
sorry ass attempt to hit the mainstream, featuring foxy brown, worst song on album-2

10. Friend or Foe
ok song, the beat is way too reptative and annoying, jay-z comes good but nothing really great short-3

11. Coming of Age
weird 80's beat, features Memphis bleek, ok song nothing great to be enthused about-3

12. Cashmere thoughts
tight song not great but solid-4

13. Bring it on
other people like this song but i don't, features sauce money and big jaz, they suck and the only good one is jay-z who does a good job, -3

14. Regrets
great song, nice jazzy feel- 4

bounous cut
*can i live II
Better than the Original, banging beat, jay-z rips it-5

overall this album isn't really the classic it's cracked up to be it's a great solid album with a couple of classic cuts on here but there are quite a few song on here that bring it down in areas, jay-z's best lyrical record, alot of spotty production some really great production and some sorry production all in all a 4.25/5

I TO DA GEEZY:
