Views on DJ Quik dissing 50 Cent?

Personally Quik is one of my favorites. That doesnt mean I cant disagree with some things he does. . .

He's now saying 50 Cent isnt Gangsta so he needs to stop claiming. . .

Now I see this as Quik being jelous of 50's success, 50 is the biggest Hip Hop act since Biggie, he's up there with Eminem, Jay Z and Biggie is the - 4 Hip Hop Greats - list. How can Quik start dissing 50 for not being "Gangsta" when he comes from New York, never shot folks,(Quik said the Gangsta was the guy who shot 50?) etc, when New York artists have been claiming Gangsta for years, even as far back the 80s, why hasnt Quik gone at these young guns, Camron, Shyne etc.

50 isn't even close to being on the same level as Eminem, Biggie, or even Jay-Z(who i dont even like).  Maybe he is success wise, but not talent.  Quik used to be gangsta but he ended that shit.  Whether or not 50 is gangsta or not, Quik doesnt need to diss 50 for no reason at all. I doubt hes doing it out of jealousy though cause Quik's albums are much better than 50's whether or not they sold a lot of units, and Quik didnt sell out on any of them. thats my opinion.

Exactly the point I was going to make after reading the WCRydaz update.  My take on it is.. if hes at a point in his life where his thoughts are "I cant believe that I used to bang for that red rag" type shit.. then why should Quik be concerned about another fake gangster?  I mean.. its no secret that most arent real.. its entertainment.  Quik contradicted himself by smashin on 50 about fakin then reacting the way he did when dude tried to hand him a red rag.  Like he had a moment of consciousness or some shit.  I love Quik but that was gay to get all mushy about the people he's lost.  That's an everyday thang for alot of other people from alot of other places.  Tired of the 50 diss ban wagon too.  Be real or be out.  Diss Bush.. Ok.. so if we all know.. or rather believe that.. then why even speak up on it?  Quiks too much of an OG for that if you ask me.  He lost points speakin up on anothers business.  Who cares who that other is.. He spoke up on another mans hustle and thats booty.  Hes too respected to go out like that.  IMO.
