Views on DJ Quik dissing 50 Cent?

jay ain't no legend..he's a trick and eminem is pretty clever but he fell off and biggie was okay,but he would of been better if he linked up with Pac in Thug Life instead of bein' pdiddy's pawn.

How did Eminem fall off? The dude's lyrics get doper and doper each day(even though his first album is sick). Until he drops a whack verse you can't even talk shit about him.

Also, i didnt hear anything about Quik making beats for Game, that makes this a lot more interesting. I dont think Game would go well with a Quik beat though anyways.

If ONE MAN gets pissed off at ANOTHER MAN (key word man.  not woman) and decides to dirty up his name over being successful then hes hatin.  This is the case with a few of MY FAVORITE artists.  I.E. DJ Quik, C-Bo And Yuk.  They aint got no business jumping into this beef.  The only legit beef I see is with Bang Em and Silver Back.  I can understand them speakin up on him because they actually had a working relationship and alot happened personally with them.  They were a part of his come up and he forgot about them once he CAME UP.  Thats a legit beef.  But alot of the other rappers who have spoken against 50 are just hatin on his angle or formula for success.  They dont know him or have ever had a working relationship with 50.  They may be real in the streets and feel as though hes gettin over on 9 shots so they testin his gangsta..  Ok.. then do it in the streets then and not on wax. 

WHO THE FUCK CARES if 50 got over on 9 shots.  Dudes successful and personally if aint nobody done shit to me.. them Imma be happy for him.  Back in 86 - 88.. brothaz had some what of a code.. there was more honor and shit.  Speaking of 88.. That'd be like hatin on someone from high school who fucked a girl that you've always wanted to fuck (btw.. you dont know dude..) but your pissed at him and hate on him for hittin some shit you wanted to.  Now when you apply that scenerio to the rap game: They mad cuz he hit a bitch named HIP HOP and tricked her out for MILLIONS.  Man.. If people would just calm down.. take a deep breath and put all that energy into comin up with they own.. they'd probably be alot more successful.  Nothing positive can come from it.  You only got 24 hours a day to get ahead.  Thinking is about the hardest thing a person can do cuz it involved discipline.  Most never learn that.  They just continue getting over on loop holes and shit.. but never really master the art of thinking.  Putting together a complete vision is hard to do so most go through episodes.  They aint got no focus which is why they get side tracked on haterizm.  Frustration is the real issue here.  Gotta focus on your shit.. all the while observing others who are successful and letting that motivate.  Its hard not to get frustrated at life cuz the shit goes so fast.  24 hours is all you got homie.  Hating is Wasting time.  Time is money.  get it?

Case in point.. Deathrow.  Blackballed by the media cuz of beef.  They dont think before they speak.. they just kick up dust and speak off emotions like little girls do.  Deathrow should be an example of HOW NOT TO GET Ahead in life.  (Generally speaking.. anger is cover up for fear.)  People may buy into your controversy for bit.. but people for the most part are smart and realize this in time.  (cant never underestimate another mans intelligence, but again.. most do.)  Usually it all back fires when the smoke clears.. because their haterizm gets exposed.. and they end up looking like a bitch (again people are smart.)    Think about it yall.  And I aint tryin to defend 50.  Im just tryin to get yall to understand that haterizm is why other people in the industry aint as successful as 50.  Haterizm is the main reason why artists like Quik, C-Bo and Yuk feel the west fell off and they still sittin here beefin and shit.  Hypocritical if you ask me.

I agree.. that term is miss-used ALOT!  Example of miss-use: If someone posts a thread about Snoops being the greatest.. and another person doesnt agree.. its almost guaranteed that the person who gave Snoop props will fire back a reply calling them a "hater."   Or something to that affect  (happens very often on our board)

But thats an opinion.. not hatin.  Some would say that hating is sorta like the opposite of supporting but I say it's goes waaay beyond just "not supporting" or "not caring."  Hating is a deleborate attempt to hold someone back like CRABS do in a bucket do.   Having a negative opinion about something.. thats cool.  That usually results in simply not support it which is fair.  Example: You dont agree.. then dont buy the fuckin album.  

But hating is tryin to take food off anothers plate cuz you mad at how they got it or because you aint got it.  Pre-meditated cock blockin is what hating is and thats on some gay ass shit.  Let people get theirs.. you get yours.

Disagree.  How To Rob was a gimmik because it was obviously untrue and OBVIOUSLY a joke.  The only reason he got flack for it is cuz people got they feelings hurt like little girls do.  Sorta like Biggie with Dreams.  (he wasnt really robbing them, biggie wasnt fuckin Mariah..) Another good example is comedians pokin fun at industry folks on various late night shows.  They may get pissed that people are making jokes but thats the game.  You dont see Jay Leno seriously trying to hurt peoples career.. get it?  If someone pokes fun at me.. and Im a celeb who gets pissed.. that says alot more about me then it does about them.  Ive just exposed my insecurities.

You made great points. I wasn't even denyin' the fact that Quik was hatin' on 50. He's probably doin' it to make some money off 50's name. Whether or not I still gotta respect the man for speakin' his mind and not givin' a fuck what anyone thinks about it.

I cant call it.  At this point.. nobody really knows what motivated him to speak up on 50.  Yash indicated that (NOT CONFIRMED.. just forum talk) 50 may have turned down Quiks production for Game.  Thats sooo far fetched but who knows.  I doubt he would let that get to him.  I really doubt hes twisted about that even if its true.  Quiks honestly one of the most talented producers \ rappers to come out the west and I love his music.  But fans (who've followed his career) cant help but notice that he comes off a little emotional at times.  Ya'll remember them 92.3 The Beat days when he was on Theos show every other day.. cryin about everything from how he hates Safe And Sound.. to how he'll never release another album and planned to retire.  (understandable to a certain degree.  That was around the time he lost Top Dog and Mausberg)  One minute.. hes claiming Tree Top.. one minute hes not.. one minute hes rollin with Suge and The Row.. shortly after.. hes not.. etc.  Oh yea.. he even claimed to have invented the C.. opps.. I mean B-Walk.. (check DVD for details) and feels as though a variety of artists and media outlets stole the idea from him and marketed it as the C-Walk. Now hes going outta his way to diss 50.. even going as far as to dedicate a portion of his show to this non-sense.  While all in the same breath.. "he cant believe that he used to bang for that red."  Just doesnt make since.  What could he possibly gain from dissin anybody.. let alone a high profile target like 50.  I mean.. everyones dissin him right now.. so why jump in?  I for one am a little disappointed that he hooped the ban wagon and decided to show his ass.  Hes too legendary for that.  Lost points.
