Lol at Archie Gemmill Moncharelli, I think if it hadn't been for Trainspotting no-one in our generation would have even heard of him.The obvious choices are Pele, Maradona, Cruyff, Eusebio, etc.For the more modern era I would say Roberto Baggio is probably the player in the last 15 years or so that stands out the most for me. Ronaldo was untouchable for a couple of years, but hasn't been anywhere near his true best for three or four years at least.

And he can score and i would consider that a large part of the game."scoring isn't the way to judge who is the best player , because some players's roles aren't to score but to pass or defend etc ,any schmuck can score if he has like 5 awesome other players making sure he gets great passes right next to the goal
