« on: June 29, 2004, 10:22:16 AM »
Ive managed to get hold of a sealed copy of thug lordz. Just how rare it is? Basically im saying should i open it up and listen to it or should i keep it sealed and sell it on in a few years. Or will i be wasting my time as it wont be worth anything  ???

Yeah man, do yourself a favour and KEEP IT SEALED. Copies of that album are very scarce even now. If you run a search for ''Thug Lordz''' on eBay even now you'll find a sealed copy (provided there is one available) going as high, if not higher, than $50. Download the album, 'cause in a few years that album will be worth a lot more.

Yup, its a very tight album too. It was well annoying because when the CD first came out I heard that it had been called back and that production had stopped so I downloaded it. The next few days I saw a couple of copies on eBay and they were going at reasonable prices ($15-20). I just assumed that the album wasn't that rare and that I\d be able to pick up an official copy eventually. Suddenly, the price just seemed to shoot up and people appeared to learn how rare a proper copy actually is. Now its a little out of my price range. Ah well, least I got to hear it...

On a similar topic, did the Thug Lordz ever release the first video they did for this CD. I think it was the track with Spice 1 featuring and apparently they filmed a video but I don't think it ever saw the light of day...

Damn, I had 5 copies of this CD cuz I knew they recalled it.  I sold 4 of em on Ebay and I got between 30-50 for each of em, and I still have a sealed copy.  I'm gonna hold onto that, and I'll probably go back to Best Buy and cop a few more of em.

I highly doubt Thug Lordz will be released anytime soon. Look at Amazon.com for example: its had it on pre-order since before the first few copies appeared and there is still no set date for its release even now. If anyone would have a release date they would. And even if it was re-released how exactly would that take away from the rarity of having a sealed ORIGINAL copy? If anything, it would make it more rare as all the existing OG copies on shelves would be replaced by the re-release, making the first print harder to find.

naw man its an upcomming release.  and how will a sealed copy be rare?  I doubt they are gonna print different versions of the album.  I think they already have hella copies printed but they just can't put them on store shelves.

^^I heard they're releasing a song with Richie Rich on the new version of the album, so they would have to press up new versions.
