R&G - Rhythm & Gangsta

Well, isn't that just great.
Snoop's been a gangsta, hustler, boss, pimp, and now he will mix it up with lovesongs..
R&G with Neptunes & P.Diddy as producers sounds like R'n'B flavoured hip-pop and more of that "Beautiful" shit, if you ask me.
With Neptunes & Diddys connections, we'll probably have Usher, Brandy, Kelis, Britney & J.Timberlake as guests, and Snoop's already familiar with the last 2.
If he asks Dre about a beat or something for this album, he'll probably stay far away.

Lets try  to be positive about it...as far as im concern diddy  being  the executive producer wasnt even official it was an idea up in the air ...and Diddy is way to busy to be involved in this project in my opinion...so lets wish to best to happen

I knew you was gonna reply quickly, no offense..  ;D

I think you're a dreamer.. the direction Snoop is going in is obvious, and it's not gonna favor the Westcoast, Tha Eastsidaz, Warren G, E-White or anybody that he used to try bring up..
He want his face on MTV all day like the latest Justin or Britney single, and Neptunes & Diddy is the persons that can make this happen.
He for sure isn't going back to the gangsta Doggystyle days, he took "Beautiful"'s success as a sign that "this sells".
I take it that his "The Westcoast gets no love, The Eastcoast steal our shit" speech was just a bunch of BS, and a result of smoking too much.

im just enjoying the music man lol...but u r right...i guess we will have to wait and see, I doubt it will be all love oriented but  I doubt He go back to his gangsta style
and since he went to Pimp, Gangsta, Loverboy  maybe he'll show a new style a la Mos Def or Talib Kweli (that would be funny as fuck)

In a recent interview, Snoop said the new album would reflect a differerent, more mature sound.
“I think I’m more melodic, more instrumental, more musical,” Snoop told AllHipHop.com. “[I’m] going back to my background from the church.”
hmm, im a bit sceptical about this. he might be off that pimp shit, or he might of gone to a completely different funny-style bullshit.
i hope not tho.

SANTA MONICA, Calif., July 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Grammy nominated recording
artist and multi-media star Snoop Dogg is recording an album tentatively
titled R&G: (RHYTHM & GANGSTA) THE MASTERPIECE to be released this fall.  The
album is set to be released November 16th as a co-production between Doggy
Style and Star Trak, through Geffen Records.
R&G: (RHYTHM & GANGSTA) THE MASTERPIECE is the follow up to Snoop's Grammy
nominated PAID THA COST TO BE DA BO$$ (2002) which yielded his # 1 hit
"Beautiful."
On the heels of the success of "Beautiful" Snoop is collaborating with The
Neptunes once again for his new album.  As executive producer, Snoop is also
providing tracks from his closest producers whom have worked with him over the
span of his illustrious career.  The album also features a collaboration with
Gap Band founder Charlie Wilson and some surprise superstar appearances.
From the moment Snoop rose to the top of hip hop on Dr. Dre's 1992 CHRONIC
album, the music world recognized he would be a life long force to be reckoned
with.  He spawned such solo hits as "What's My Name," "Gin & Juice," "Just A
Baby Boy," and "Beautiful."  He introduced the world to The Eastsidaz and his
Doggy Style All Stars.  Snoop's talents know no bounds; his notoriety and
instantly recognizable persona and voice have garnered him numerous other
opportunities and successes.  In addition to being an icon in hip hop, Snoop
is accomplished as an actor, MTV Show Host, and clothing designer.

Not exactly bad...but I am a bit afraid for 'some surprise superstar appearances'..wich sounds like Missy Elliot,50 Cent,Lil' Jon or Britney Spears to me.. :-\

As executive producer, Snoop is also providing tracks from his closest producers whom have worked with him over the span of his illustrious career

This stems me somewhat happier though.

What the fuck happened to this album bringing 'Chronic era Snoop' back as Chad Hugo said? How the fucks that gonna happen if Snoops going back to his church days singing and shit. Snoop needs to be locked down in a room with Dre and both of them need to listen to the entire Deathrow back catelougue and realise what they used to be capable of.

The title's alright - would be better just to call it Rhythm & Gangsta IMO...

I'm still interested to hear this - 'It Blows My Mind' gave me complete confidence that The Neptunes and Snoops can put quality product together if they put their minds to it.
