Okay what are some abbreviations that u guys use? How many do u know? I want to know cause sometime si dont know what the hell ppl are talking about.

For instance:

lol------lots os laughs
lmao---laughin my ass off
wtf----what the fuck
sn-----screen name

oh man I luv abreviations.  me and my friends use them all the time when we talk.  I have a lot more that I can't remember right now.

i hate abbreviations. I think they are disrespectful, like you're saving time talking with somebody, and you're just too busy to type "i'll be back in a sec" instead of BRB. I think abbreviations suck, except if you're typing something long, and u're taking a while, so u just use a little bit to send your message as quickly as possible. All of this refers to Instant Messanging.

Some abbreviations are so widely used that i guess it's OK to use them, such as RSVP or ASAP or VIP and stuff like that.
