Whats up with The Pharcyde? Anyone like them?

I loved Passin Me By. What do they have comeing out?

One of the earliest groups to make known the presence of the West Coast underground sound was The Pharcyde. Their first album Bizarre Ride II the Pharcyde goes beyond the gangsta concept that permeates a large part of the hip hop of the West Coast. An album that adds a California twist (laid back flows and funky melodies) to traditional old school hip hop (solid beats and lyrical proficiency), Bizarre Ride is a monumental work that put non-mainstream West Coast rap on the map.

Most hip-hop is now keyboard driven, because the majority of hip-hop workstations have loops and patches that enable somebody with marginal skills to put tracks together,...

Unfortunately, most hip-hop artists gravitated towards the path of least resistance by relying on these pre-set patches. As a result, electric guitar and real musicians became devalued, and a lot of hip-hop now sounds the same.

their last release was "plain rap" wasnt it? might have been another since..
 
didn't feel that one at all

i prefer labcabincalifornia over their first album, "passing me by" belongs on their second one..  :D

man Pharcyde is slept on. They had a couple classics, like "runnin" & "passin me by", and i used to bump "frontline" for months, i love that track


Seer, I think they had a Greatest Hits since, and another one which came out this year

WEll, Fatlip hasnt been in the group for awhile now, he dropped a solo featuring the DOPE "Whats up Fat Lip" as a single, with a hilarious video..........anyone have that album, i've never been able to find it.

As for the group, there last album was alright, what was the name of that dope single they had off it (it also had a tight remix)?

they just had a show in anaheim with the Xecutioners and Ghostface Killah, but i heard their shows have pretty much sucked since fatlip left

I am anticipating this new album, is Fatlip on it?  I doubt it..........

Ya'll should check out the song Trust off their last album ,as well as the remix.....

Also, try to get Whats up Fat Lip, you gotta hear this song....

only badd part is that there is only 2 member of tha pharcyde now.... cant remember who were the 2 that left but i know they is only 2 now
