i dnt wanna sound dumb or nothing but this is really annyoing me and i just want no y is d12  called d12? is there any meaning behind it? i no the d is for detorit but y the 12:S

ok, theres 6 members of d12, acutally eminem wasnt part of it before, some guy named bugz was, but he died, eminem took his place, now 6 members, and each have an alter ego. like eminem is slim shady, proof, is dirty harry, etc... 6 members 6 alter egos = 12, this doesnt belong in the west section tho...

The 'D' isn't for Detroit. The group was originally called Dirty Dozen, 'cause each of the six members has an alter ego (Em's is Slim Shady for example). D-12 is just a variation on it - Dirty Dozen = Dirty 12 = D-12.

You sure, i got an enhanced CD with the 1st album that said when Bugs died he wanted Swit in the group.

^ I saw a special on MTV because of their new release and they talked about Bugz' death and then Em' said that they sat together in a bus the same day and Em' asked if he could take the free place.

naw, the thing where Em replaced Bugz on the MTV special was just a way to make it seem like Swift was always meant to be in the group. I've got an audio tape interview of it the way Cop Killa said from after SSLP dropped with Em sayin it

they originally wanted to get 12 members in the group but they couldnt get that many people in so they decided to go down to 6 with each one havin an alter ego...and as far as who replaced Bugz, I have no idea, I have heard so many different things...I have my own opinion but it will be kept to myself...
