Officials said Jones registered the address he was at last year, but moved in March without registering again. Sex offenders must notify authorities within 48 hours of a move.

On Thursday, authorities arrested Jones and charged him with failing to register as a sex offender. He was later released on $1,000 bail, according to police records.

A telephone number listed to a Jeffrey Jones in Sarasota went unanswered Saturday.

Jones, whose films include ``Beetlejuice'' and ``Sleepy Hollow,'' also has appeared in the new HBO series ``Deadwood.''


its disgusting someone can commit a crime of that nature and serve no jail time as a result

theres this one seen when hes trying to get home before his parents then hes running down the street and his dad pulls up in his car and doesnt even knmow its him
