serious? I mean he's still a solid PG - of course far from as good as he's been in his prime - but since he's pretty old he's gonna need some valid back-up. Fisher was a dope back-up. But now? Hm... I dont assume Lakers can sign some dope free agents, their cap room's got to be very tiny if there's any left at all. They have to trade some players I guess.. to get bigger and stuff.. we'll see.

imho... fischer is overrated.  sure he could hit a clutch shot here and there but he wasn't very consistent.  i'd much rather have a point guard who can bring it every night (like a jason kidd) rather than a pg that hits a lucky shot every once in a while.

Yeah, exactly what I was thinking.  And the only reason I could see Fisher leaving the Lakers (unless they were giving him shitty pay) is so that he could be a starter somewhere else.  Now he's in like the exact same position as he was with Payton with Van Exel, so WTF is he thinking?
