The denver nuggets
« on: July 22, 2004, 11:24:20 PM »
how come on this board i dont see anyone talking about this team.  this team is goin to turn a lot of heads.  gettin martin was a huge move. watch the nets not even make the playoffs this year.  an moves nene to the bench which improves there bench a lot.  You got boykins an Nene off the bench now.  There goin control the boards with martin an camby (that is if he's resigns which i heard will most likely happen) an plus if camby gets injured you still got nene.  Melo is just goin get better.  If these two teams dont meat in the first or 2nd round i predict the west conference finals will be the nuggets an t-wolves.  sorry for another NBA post i jus wanna see what every1 thinks of the nuggets.

They already resigned Camby...As for them doing something, I don't think so...Maybe 4th or 5th in the west...Houston, now that's a team to watch.

This off-season is hot. Many teams significantly changed. Imo, many teams are to watch, and Nuggets is definitely one of them.
Cause I don't care where I belong no more
What we share or not I will ignore
And I won't waste my time fitting in
Cause I don't think contrast is a sin
No, it's not a sin

they have a nice team of talented but unproven players..camby could go down any minute...martin...solid but thats it...im not sure he'll play as well without jason kidd setting him up all the time...melo well what can you say...he's great...i'll agree with 4 -6 seed area...but still a couple years away from being elite...and bump on houston being the team to watch

LMFAO...

Andre Miller
Voshon Lenard
Carmello Anthony
Kenyon Martin
Marcus Camby

vs.

Gary Payton
Kobe Bryant
Lamar Odom
Caron Butler
Vlade Divac

Now all the players match up pretty well, BESIDES Kobe Bryant...Denver doesn't have a Kobe type player, and they really don't have a leader at all...Kobe is a leader, and the best all-around player in the game...And that, my friend, is why Lakers are going to be A LOT better than the Nuggets...PeACe

lol

at this point in his career gary payton = andre miller, maybe a slight edge to payton
kobe >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> lenard
lamar odum< carmelo an carmelo still has a lot of room for improvement.  lamar has room for improvement but not the ceiling meol has
butler<<<<<<<<<< k-mart.... now that hes in the west an you can watch him all the time you will truly appreaciate what a great player kmart is.  stats do not do him justice
divac<<<<< camby.... if camby stays healthy.

so miller an payton are a push
kobe is much better than lenard.  lenard a good player but aint got nothing on kobe.
melo is slightly better than odum. maybe even, depends on which odum shows up an plays this year.  the pot smoking slacker or the player that finally tapped into his potential last season.
kmart shits all over brian grant. it aint even a question
camby when healthy is much better than divac at this point.  Divac 3 years ago would possibly be ahead of camby but divac is old an not the player he once was.  camby played more games last year than any other season in his career.  it all depends if he stays healthy.  an even if you camby gets injured you have nene off the bench who i slightly put ahead of divac at this point in divac's career.

You can't judge player for player, because Kobe just eats everyone on the Nuggets alive...He's a leader, just like Jordan was, and that's the difference...PeACe

no he's not the leader jordan was,  an most analyst i hear even say thats the biggest difference.  Shaq said it was the biggest difference.
