Horror movie remakes

2001 MANIACS
A group of travelers take a wrong detour and end up the main course in a bizarre little town.

A TALE OF TWO SISTERS
The story concerns two sisters that go home to their stepmother after some time in a mental hospital, and find their conditions only worsen no thanks to an unbalanced parental figure and a pesky ghost.

AMITYVILLE
The MGM version. No official plot yet, but the original movie was about a family moving into a home that is haunted by the spirits of the past owners, who were brutally murdered.

ALTERED STATES
No official plot yet.

BARON BLOOD
A young man returns to Austria in search of his heritage and visits the castle of an ancestor, a sadistic Baron who was cursed to a violent death by a witch whom the Baron had burned at the stake.

BLACK CHRISTMAS

BLACK SABBATH
No official plot yet.

BRIDE OF FRANKENSTEIN
Their concept for "Bride" is set in contemporary Gotham, centered on a young woman attending college. After being haunted by someone else's memories, she gradually discovers that she died and was then unnaturally brought back to life.

THE CHANGELING
The original was about a man who tries to solve the mystery behind the mysterious happenings in his new home.

THE CRAZIES
No official plot, but its been said that it'll update from the original.

CURE
The remake from the original japanese film about an investigatoring following a series of killings where all the victims are murdered the same way, but all the killers have no connection with each other.

DARK WATER
Revolves around a mother and daughter who escape an ugly custody battle with the girl's father by retreating to a dilapidated apartment building. Instead of finding solace, though, they are haunted by the ghost of a young girl whose family used to live there.

DEAD OF NIGHT
A young man killed in the Vietnam War. Through a series of circumstances, he is brought back to life as a zombie.

DON'T BE AFRAID OF THE DARK
A business executive and his wife move into her family house. After a while the wife begins to see strange little creatures that only she can see.

DON'T LOOK UP
A film crew encounters a hostile ghost while in the midst of making a movie.

THE ENTITY
The story follows a woman whose life crumbles when she believes she is being repeatedly molested and raped by an unseen paranormal force.

EVIL WORDS
The original movie tells the story of a novelist who has an uncanny knack for imagining horrific events before they happen.

THE EYE
The original film told the story of a blind women getting eye surgery to regain her eyesight, but once she does she sees ghosts.

THE FLY
The original was about a scientist who has an accident testing his transportation device and he begins to slowly transform into a human fly.

THE GRUDGE
The story involves a curse born of the vengeful feelings of a person who has died an angry, violent death, and which is passed down through its subsequent victims.

THE HILLS HAVE EYES
The original was about a family on their way to California that get stranged in the middle of the desert with crazy cannibals.

HOUSE OF WAX
A group of friends on their way to a college football game falls prey to a pair of murderous brothers in an abandoned small town. They discover that the brothers have expanded upon the area’s main attraction.

I SAW WHAT YOU DID
The original was about two teenagers who make a series of prank phone calls to strangers, whispering 'I saw what you did, and I know who you are.' In the film, the fun stops when they randomly ring a man who has just murdered his wife.

INVASION OF THE BODY SNATCHERS
No official plot yet, but it is expected to center on a female protagonist who uncovers a conspiracy in a small town where the inhabitants' personalities seem to be changing.


IT'S ALIVE
The original movie told the story about a baby who was born a monster and has a natural appetite to kill.

MUTE WITNESS
No official plot yet since the script hasn't been written.

PET SEMATARY
The original told the story of a family moving to a small Maine town with a pet cemetery and an Indian burial ground that's said to resurrect anyone who's buried in it.

THE REINCARNATION OF PETER PROUD
The original was about a college professor who has flashbacks to a past life and tries to uncover the truth about his previous existence.

SCANNERS
The original film was about a guy with psychic abilities, who goes against a group of "scanners" who want to take over the world.

THE SENTINEL
No official plot yet.

SUSPIRIA
The original was about a young woman going to ballet school only to discover that it's a coven for witches.

TELL ME SOMETHING
The original was about a detective trying to solve a string of murders where the killer would leave the victim's body parts in a garbage bag all over the city.

THE TOOLBOX MURDERS
Once a historic Hollywood hotel gets renovated a series of murders begin.

TURN
A woman who slips into a coma after an accident and finds upon waking that she is in a parallel reality -- a completely empty city, where she is forced to relive the same day over and over again.

THE WICKER MAN
The original was about a policeman sent to a small island to investigate the disappearance of a girl who finds a pagan society.

I wouldn't mind seeing another remake of the Fly, especially with the FX capabilities of today.

the only ones ill see of those are 2001 Maniacs cause Robert Englund is involved
The Grudge cause the Japanese series of movies was good and they've got the Japanese director

Sony Screen Gems plans on remaking the cult horror pic "When a Stranger Calls" and sequel "When a Stranger Returns"...

That's funny that they're remaking Pet Sematary already, it came out in the late 80s.

Eli Roth has closed a deal to remake "The Bad Seed" with Warner Brothers. The producers will be Strike Entertainment, who did "Dawn of the Dead". They're currently looking at writers, but haven't got someone signed yet.
