Man Vs Machine: My Opinion
« on: September 30, 2002, 11:57:26 PM »
ANYONE SAYING THAT MAN VS MACHINE IS BETTER THAN RESTLESS NEEDS TO SEE A FUCKIN DOCTOR.

ON THE REAL, RESTLESS WAS A CLASSIC COMPARED TO THIS TRASH. I bought it yesterday and im l very disapointed, the best tracks are Mutliply, Losin your Mind and What A MEss (a song which is not even on every version of the album, how could they put that song on a fuckin bonus cd).

first off, most beats are pretty weak and boring, thers not one song that made me go  :o  like a lot of songs on Restless. Think about it, restless had songs like Get your Walk on, X, Alkaholik, Sorry Im Away So Much, Best Of Things etc etc. if i want to bump a banger i have to bump multiply and its kinda sad that this song is almost the best song on the album cause Im already tired of it.

Alot of hooks are horrible (Symphony In X Major, MIssin U, Choke Me Spank Me)

And lyrics on a different level my ass. they are not better than restless im0

Maybe its just me or somthing cause this might sound like Im hatin on X, but i have not lost respect for X and gave him a chance like everyone else and bought his album, but like I said, im disappointed. Thats just my opinion and im sure some ppl will agree

i'm pretty much with that.... shits got the 'taste' of all Dre's recent soundy-likey works all over.. even though he didnt produce it all its got his finger prints all over it.

i bought it yest, i didnt download the retail rip this time... probably coz i couldnt be bothered since i was disappointed with the advance... i listened to about 4 tracks at work, nearly didnt bother bringing it back in to listen to the rest..

its quite similar to restless.. restless had a bit more 'shine'... this is a continuation of the worst parts of restlesss.

Multiply, My Name, Symphony in X Major only songs that make my head move
best beat IMO is Release Date

Break Yourself is kinda ok

Heart Of Man sounds like X wanna be Nas... Nas even sampled the same song (Toto - Africa) on Nastradamus.
actually 'harder' (the golden state track) does a bit too

can you say "luke warm reception" ....  :-/

I was very sure I'd get that album, but there's so much tite shit around...I think since everybody says it's a disappointment (u ain't the only ones) I won't cop it, doesn't seem to be worth it. Very sad, Xzibit's one of my fav west coast acts, but every album seems to be worse than the last one...:-/

I was surpirsed by how good it was, as everyone was saying it was complete shit. The first half of the album is probably the best 1st half of an album so far this year, and you know you wanna see a hype williams directed video for Losin' Your Mind.

That'd mean it's really dope, fuck the 2nd half

A few dope albums that came out this year:

Nappy Roots - Watermelon, Chicken N Gritz
Tech9ne - Absolute Power
Gravediggaz - Nightmare In A Minor
X-Raided & Kingpen - City Of Kings: The Sac-A-Indo Projects
Cormega - The True Meaning
Mr. Lif - Emergency Rations
Onyx - Bacdafucup Part II
50 Cent - Guess Who's Back

and there's many more
