Vivendi Universal Games has announced that it is developing a console video game based on Brian De Palma's 1982 uber-violent crime drama SCARFACE movie. Radical Games is working on the project, which will be a third-person shooter and due out in stores in the fall of 2005.

To adapt the movie into a game the company has hired screenwriter David McKenna (S.W.A.T.) to develop a storyline that borrows a bit from the movie but also embarks on its own original path. Gamers will be able to play the role of Cuban crime lord Tony Montana (played in the film by Al Pacino) as he works his way up the ladder of Miami's underworld. No word yet if you'll be able to snort a pound of blow and then blow your would-be assassins away with a combination machine gun/rocket-propelled grenade launcher, but here's hoping that it will be included.

Heres some xtra info on this game, which i think is extremly lame.

In this game IT PICKS UP FROM WHERE SCARFACE LEFT OFF. You might ask "But tony montana died"....I'd say, close.

In the video game "Scarface" It starts where the movie left off....

Tony montana actually didnt die. Now please tell me people....How do you survive a shotgun blast to the back?

Anyway, the game just pretends he lived and you kill the people who screwed you. IMO this game is going to suck big time. They should have left the classic alone. And soon EA is coming out with a  "The Godfather" video game. they need to leave the classics alone.
