106 & park should dedicate a week to "bomb ass shit that the ignorant, fickle ass public slept on; and the bullshit ass hip-hop media hated on" and then i'll respect them.
That Lad track was tight..that whole album was tight

I don't know, something about clean rap from when I was in Jr. High that I miss. Maybe because back then it was the only music I play loud through out the whole house.

Apart from "I wish", there was "Superman"...one of the tightest songs I've ever heard. "Top of the stairs", "Never crossed my mind", "This is how it sounds"... What's fucked up is I never got a chance to hear "I can't stop", his 2nd album. Only the single "At the mall", which was dope too.
Quote from: R-Tistic.com on August 22, 2004, 08:32:58 PMI just want to see what y'all would say about this...This past week, 106 and park's old school joint of the days had a theme this week, bein one hit wonders. Well on Friday, the one hit wonder that they showed was Luniz, I got five on it. Now bein that we are west coast, we know that they definitely aren't one hit wonders in our eyes, but to the rest of the nation who is only up on commercial rap, I guess they would be, even though they had a few other singles and all. Since we see that they are considered 1 hitters by the nation, what other rappers from the west coast do you think are probably considered one hit wonders, even though they may not be to us?-2nd II None - If you want it-Hi-C - Puppet (somebody from St. Louis was talkin bout 1 hitters and he mentioned him)-Militia - Burn-Lady of Rage - Afro Puffs-Skee-lo - I wish (well even we would call him a 1 hit wonder)-Ahmad - Back in the days-Soulfs of mischief - 93 til infinity (would u say they were to us?)-LAD - Ridin Low (who remembers this track? you might only know about it if you aren't from LA)-TQ - Westside (if it was a hit)-Digital Underground - Humpty hump (some people do think they were one hitters) ive only heard that digital underground song..

NWA--Straight Outta Cpt...cause you really didn't see much of the "Express Yourself" video being played.
Strange...this thread is FIVE years old...I was searchin through old ones today to find info, and I read it, but didn't comment....so was someone able to see this as a "recently viewed post" to respond to it? If not, makes no sense to how someone responded to it five years later.
