WOW!  I saw this film last night, what a beautiful film.  Deep film.  Must see, although i wish i would have seen those 20-25 min that was cut.  Jet Li shows what a great actor he can be in this film.

A friend of mine went to see it and said it was absolutely horrible.  He said the plot sucked, the fighting was nothing special, and the guys could fly.  I know I won't go see it.

you know what pisses me off, when people complain about the "flying" in martial arts movies.  That person has trained so hard and is at peace in their spirituality that they can "fly".  Thats so much better than the reason Spiderman has his senses or how superman can fly.   PLus in the film, the flying is in the scenes where they fight in their minds or its just a lie.

to crafty,  its basically how China was formed.  But a lot of people say its innaccurate...but its still a good story

It's such bullshit how Quentin Tarantino's name is on this movie only because Mirimax agreed to release it in American theaters uncut if he agreed to put his name on it...He's not involved with this movie whatsoever...Anyways, it was released in China two years ago under the name "Ying xiong"...The full Chinese cut is 107 minutes, and the US re-release is only 96 minutes...PeACe

The version that was played in theaters there is the same version that is being played in theaters here.

It's BS because a lot of people got fooled. People entered the theater believing it was a Tarantino film, or Tarintino at least had some involvement...Instead, he was just paid to have his name on it, just to draw a larger audience.

That's exactly what I just said...Quentin Tarantino agreed to have his name on it if it was released in American theaters uncut...LOL

It said Quentin Tarantino Presents. If people don't understand what present means, then they need to hop on the little yellow school bus.

Usually when movies have "*insert name here* Presents" before the title, that person actually had some sort of INVOLVEMENT with the movie...This is not the case with "Hero"...

Engel, I meant the full director's cut...

well if Tarantino never urged Miramax to purchase the rights of Hero, the film would have never been released in theaters in the U.S.  so he did have something to do with it.  I rather see it in the theaters first than straight to DVD.

They did this Presents thing with Back to the Future.  They do shit all the time.
