Ajax sign Mauro Damian Rosales Amsterdam, August 30, 2004 Ajax have added Mauro Damian Rosales to the squad. The right winger from Argentina signed for four years. With Rosales' current club, Club Atletico Newell's Old Boys, Ajax have also reached agreement. Before the transfer deadline, however, some formalities have to be fulfilled. If Rosales is not eligible to play in the Champions League, the deal could fall through. The 23-year-old Argentine played for Club Atletico Newell’s Old Boys from 1999. Ajax boss Ronald Koeman: ,,We are happy that we have found the right winger we were looking for. Rosales is a fully-fledged Argentinian international who has just won the gold medal at the Olympic Games in Athens.'' On this olympic tournament Rosales played in six matches and scored one goal.Rosales is currently in Argentina. Anyway Juve bought David Trezeguet two days before he scored that golden goal in the Europeans against us, and it didnt hurt at all!
