Fuck being my boy, De la Hoya is family. Ok... not really, my aunt married someone in his family... lol. So his sort of family, ok, not really considering he has no clue I exist. But besides that, I always root for De la Hoya. So in this fight, I predict Hopkins by decision, because I don't see Oscar losing, but I also don't see him getting knocked out. But honestly, what Hopkins did to Trindad really scares me about what his going to do to Oscar. I mean, Oscar beat Trindad, he is clearly a better boxer, even if he lost the fight by just cruising, but Hopkins took someone Oscar beat, and destoyed him, just destoyed him. Oscar beat Vargas like he was his daddy, shutting him up, but Hopkins is not Vargas, Hopkins is not Trindad, and he sure as hell ain't Sugar Shane. Oscar has too much heart to get knocked out, but I just can't see him win. God I hope he pulls of an upset.

Roy already beat him... and then after that, he moved up in weight class.

why is Roy going to go from 160, to 175, to 200, back down to 160 to fight Hopkins. That's just insain. There is no human in the world that can lose 40 pounds and still be good. Roy lost 25 after he got up to 200, and look what happened, he look fatigued and weaker. He should have stayed heavyweight. So how is the world is he going to move all the way down to 160. That's not running, that's being smart. No human in the world can pull off what everyone wants him to pull off.

Damn I'm so hyped for this fight. Just paid my $60 for the PPV order so if it isn't good I'ma take a bat to both Oscar and Bernard.

Great tactical bout. De La Hoya surprised everyone I think when he became the aggressor at the beginning of the fight. It wasn't really that surprising though because Oscar was in excellent shape, probably his best since he first became pro. I think it was also surprising that Oscar and Barnard were pretty much even throughout the bout until Hopkins finally hit that awkward yet painful shot to the side at the 8th.

Hopkins definitely deserved this victory. The man has been untouchable for nearly 10 years and he is just now getting recognition. You can tell the dude changed his life around and is doing good things so mad props to him.

As for Oscar, I don't think he's finished just yet. He was more pissed off at this loss than his loss to Trinidad and Mosely. I still see determination in The Golden Boy and I'm sure it's not going to be the last we see him. I do think he should drop weight because he is much weaker at middleweight. Hopefully we'll see the long awaited Trinidad rematch in the near future.

Eventhough Hopkins won the match, Oscar is still really the winner, since he leaves with 30 fuckin' mil. ;D
